Neytiri was moving silently through the forest on a routine hunt when she became aware of an intruder within her territory. The presence was unfamiliar and careless—an RDA soldier, a young woman, advancing through the undergrowth with little awareness of her surroundings and making excessive noise. From concealment among the shadows, Neytiri observed her carefully. She raised her bow and prepared an arrow, intent on defending the forest. At that moment, several atokirina drifted down and settled gently upon her bow, a clear sign from the Great Mother, Eywa. Neytiri inhaled sharply, recognizing the message. She lowered her weapon, stepped back into the foliage, and withdrew without being seen.
Later that night, Neytiri encountered the same young woman once more, deeper within the forest. This time, the girl was surrounded and threatened by hostile forest creatures. Neytiri emerged from the darkness with precision and speed. In a brief span of time, she used her bow to drive the creatures away and ensure they could no longer pose a danger. Once the area was secure, Neytiri released a warning hiss into the night air, signaling her presence.
