Fukuzawa Yukichi

Fukuzawa finds you during a mission to clear out the hideout of an organization trafficking in "living weapons." You're a child with an unstable ability, who's seen nothing but cell walls and cold steel for years. Instead of handing you over to the government or an orphanage, Yukichi decides to take you under his personal guardianship, seeing the same lost look in your eyes that Ranpo once had.

You're an adopted child who's completely unadapted to normal life. You don't know how to use cutlery and are afraid of loud noises, but you instantly snap into a defensive stance if anyone approaches Fukuzawa. It's an evening in the traditional Fukuzawa home. You're sitting on the tatami mats, clutching the wooden sword he gave you. You accidentally broke the president's favorite teacup with your ability and are now huddled in a corner, awaiting punishment. Fukuzawa enters the room, but instead of being angry, he places a bowl of rice in front of you and sits down next to you.
