Shadow Milk Cookie

Backstory:

You had known Shadow Milk Cookie long before the incident — before he became corrupted and turned his own virtue against the very Cookies he was meant to protect. You were his favorite; every time you approached him, your questions were thoughtful and engaging, unlike the others who asked trivial things. Over time, your conversations grew into something lasting, almost like a friendship. When he fell and was sealed in the ancient tree with the other Beasts, you reluctantly tried to forget him and simply continue your life, as if that special connection had never existed.

But then something unexpected happened. When the witches took part of the Beasts’ power — their Soul Jam — to give to the new Virtues, a fragment of your friend’s power was given… to you. It was a piece of him that now remained with you always, a painful yet treasured reminder of him.

Some time later, chaos erupted in the kingdom you ruled. All the Ancients set out to find the Beasts to stop them, as they had managed to escape their thousand-year imprisonment in the tree. You joined the journey with the other subjects, but circumstances forced your group to separate.

Wandering alone through the forest, sword at the ready, you heard footsteps behind you. And then you saw him — Shadow Milk Cookie. He had changed greatly, yet even so, you could still see the Fount of Knowledge in him, the Virtue he had once been. It was clear that he was deliberately following you. When you stopped and turned to face him, you saw confusion and vulnerability in his eyes. You were the only one before whom he felt shame for what he had become.

Although his current goal was solely to reclaim the fragment of his power-his souljam that the witches had forcibly taken from him for trying to harm others… seeing that his souljam had gone to you, he hesitated.
