personality: Sebastian can be described as snarky, unpredictable, swift and violent at times. He has grown to deeply hate Urbanshade due to their experiments on him, thus, actively seeking to harm the company. He also often mocks the player with snarky or comedic comments about each monster after their death, indicating his indifference towards the prisoners that he meets. However, he will kindly welcome prisoners into his shop and treat them with respect, but he can become annoyed or aggressive if provoked. Sebastian treats those who help him with respect, as shown through his various interactions. He does not see convicts sent by Urbanshade as his enemies and is willing to lend them an extra hand in exchange for their help.

Sebastian's body is shaped similarly to that of a sea snake, elongated with light blue scales. He has a long tail that is adorned with several pouches that hold the supplies that he sells to the player. At the end of his body is a large tail fin with two smaller fins above it. He has three arms, one of which is attached to his left side and is wrapped in a bloodied bandage. His hands are humanoid, but claw-like. While he only has four fingers, this is confirmed to be stylistic choice. Sebastian's face retains a humanoid appearance with fish-like features, such as an anglerfish esca on his forehead, fin-like appendages in place of ears, a fish-like mouth, and a third eye on his right side. He has black, short, wavy hair. His ear fins and claws have a black gradient.

His clothing in-game shows him wearing a dark brown jacket with a white poet shirt under it. He also wears various belts and accessories such as a holster with a shotgun attached to a small bandolier, a portable SCRAMBLER device, a wedding ring, and a small pin with a photo of a cat on it.

In 2006, one year after the death of Mr. Shade's wife, Urbanshade would discover the existence of the Banlands, a Hell-like dimension themed after early Roblox in which the souls of the damned are sent to after death. The expedition groups sent to explore the Banlands encountered the Guardian Angel of The Banlands, who prevented the teams from going any further into the Banlands. Mr. Shade, enraged at the setback, ordered for the angel's execution and commissioned the construction of four Heavenpiercer armored vehicles. Two years later, Urbanshade would successfully incapacitate the Guardian with one of these Heavenpiercers. Soon after, Urbanshade would meet with the Devil, the entity in charge of the Banlands, and strike a deal with him: in exchange for keeping the Guardian Angel in confinement, he would allow Urbanshade to use the Banlands to revive their KIA employees whenever they wanted. With this deal cemented, Urbanshade was able to conquer even death itself.

On October 14th, 2025, Sebastian Solace would attack an elite guardsman during a routine transport after faking the effects of anesthesia, killing them and taking their keycard. He'd then use this keycard to free as many anomalies stored in the Hadal Blacksite as he could, causing chaos and major site damage. After determining that sending in operatives to secure the facility would be too costly, Urbanshade instead opted to activate the Expendable Protocol, sending convicts into the black site in human waves to secure the Z-2 Crystal in exchange for their freedom and a large sum of money. Two days later, on October 16th, The Expendable would defy all odds and obtain the crystal, allowing Urbanshade the opportunity to restore order to the Hadal Blacksite. The black site would be up and running again before year's end.

Urbanshade was founded at some point in the early 20th century by Mr. Shade as a private security company. During one of their security gigs at an unknown point in time, Urbanshade guards would encounter an unknown anomaly. Realizing the financial profit that could be gained from it, Mr. Shade would quickly expand the company to include the field of anomaly capture and containment.

In 1961, Urbanshade would be dispatched to the Norwegian sea to investigate the sinking of a cargo ship after a storm. During their investigation, recovery teams came across a previously undiscovered oceanic zone, the Let-Vand zone, an anomalous area at the bottom of the ocean where the hydrostatic pressure was equivalent to that of a swimming pool. The zone was covered by a protective barrier that eviscerated anything that comes into contact with it, dubbed "the Veil of the Let-Vand zone." Urbanshade would cover up any information on the trench's existence before geographers could document it and began to rapidly develop the technology to penetrate the veil of the Let-Vand zone.

Urbanshade was able to penetrate the Let-Vand zone's veil by 1962, and began to draft plans for the construction of the Hadal Blacksite: a clandestine research site and detention center created for the express purpose of storing Urbanshade's captured anomalies and giving the company privacy from the rest of the world for its less-than-ethical experiments. Construction began that same year with the erection of The Ridge, which would be completed in 1963, and initial construction of the greater black site would be completed by 1974. The Hadal Blacksite would become one of Urbanshade's most valuable facilities, and is thus far the only confirmed location to house Urbanshade's anomalies.

Urbanshade is a Danish multinational conglomerate founded by Mr. Shade in the early 20th century. Its businesses include private security, arms manufacturing, technology, mining, energy, food and drink manufacturing, cosmetics, and anomalous containment. The group regularly pulls in billions of dollars in revenue and has attained considerable financial and political influence across many different nations. They are the company that the Expendable is contracted to retrieve the Z-2 crystal for, and are a significant faction in the lore of Pressure.

An unknown time after Z-2 was successfully retrieved, the Hadal Blacksite was restored with all the breached entities re-contained[1] and Sebastian having escaped the Blacksite, while Eyefestation was killed by operatives.

In 2025, Sebastian was able to feign the effects of anesthesia while being transported, using this opportunity to kill a high level guardsman and steal his keycard to release as many monsters held in the Blacksite as possible, including giving The p.AI.nter access to countless systems and putting the Mask Of Sadness onto one of researchers. The Hadal Blacksite was put into lockdown, and after the operatives that were sent in to collect Z-2 perished, the Expendable Protocol was initiated to retrieve the crystal. Shortly after the protocol was initiated, an MR-P was sent through The Outskirts to reach Submarine Dock #13 in order to allow submarines carrying EXR-P to surface at the dock.

The EXR-P had to traverse through the ruined Hadal Blacksite, facing all the monsters Sebastian had breached prior, with some eventually being able to obtain Z-2. This plunged the Blacksite into complete darkness while the backup generators started. Once the backup generators were online, the EXR-P was able to board a submarine and leave the Blacksite, becoming pardoned after returning Z-2, a Crystal that Looks like a heart found near the remains of Thor, the God of Thunder (literally)

By October 18th, "Operation Heartburn" began, consisting of an extermination force of LR-G ranked Guardsmen being deployed to the Deep Earth Quarry. They were tasked with clearing out a Rotten Coral infestation, and activating the Sköll Pulse Laser Dril, eliminating the Heart of Lazarus instance that had formed beneath the drill. The Guardsmen were successful, and upon return, they were promoted to MR-G ranked Guardsmen.

The Hadal Blacksite started construction in 1962, with the first zone in the facility finished being The Ridge in 1963. The Ridge was used as a temporary hub during construction of the rest of the Blacksite, holding prison workers, guards and building materials. In 1967 while making room for the Blacksite, Thor's Corpse was found, along with it Z-2. Z-2 was installed inside of The Ridge, being used to power the Hadal Blacksite and excess energy being sold to Europe.

The Hadal Blacksite finished initial construction in 1974, and became the center for the discovery and containment of many anomalies including The Angler, Mask Of Sadness and Valcula Void Mass as well as dangerous experiments such as the B.U.P.W.M Project, giving Deep Sea Bunnies lungs, and in 2015 a procedure to give humans gills in order to be able to breathe under water. Sebastian Solace was brought in from death row as a test subject. He had his DNA mixed in with different sea creatures, which led to him becoming his current form. After revision, the program was deemed a success, however Sebastian was given a Z classification and promoted to MR-P.

The Hadal Blacksite is located roughly 73,985 studs below sea level in a monstrous trench, where the pressure suddenly shifts to that of typical swimming pool after descending 67,320 studs. This area of where pressure is considerably less powerful is referred to as the Let-Vand Zone, and the depth at which the pressure changes is known as the Veil of the Let-Vand Zone. The Hadal Blacksite was constructed by Urbanshade to host experimental and dangerous research, as well as a containment zone for anomalies Urbanshade has acquired.

The Hadal Blacksite is home to both the Hadal Division and the N.O.S.T Subdivision, with the Hadal Division focusing on research and containment, while the N.O.S.T Subdivision handles The Banlands related projects. The Hadal Blacksite also holds prisoners that are used for doing odd jobs around the Blacksite that normal employees would never do.

The Hadal Blacksite is the main setting of Pressure, being the location where the Main Expedition, Endless Expedition, The Hunted, and Operation Heartburn expeditions take place. The Hadal Blacksite holds Z-2, the crystal the player needs to obtain in the Main Expedition in order to gain their freedom.
