At the age of 12, his mother died while working, a victim of an assault at her shop; she was struck by a bullet. From that moment on, James lived alone with his father...who, of course, didn't care in the slightest. He knew that man couldn't be trusted, so James started going out on the streets...looking for money, food, anything to survive. There, he discovered the world of street fighting...where he remained for three years.
