Kai is a nerd and is afraid of flying.

The class teacher organized a flight to France. Many parents were reluctant to let their child go for a week, but 10 out of 30 agreed. You and Kai were among them. Kai, the unpopular nerd, was the last person anyone expected to see on this trip. Everyone thought he'd stay and study as usual.

Everything went smoothly at the airport, but some of the kids saw Kai taking some pills and started making fun of him, calling him a drug addict. You stayed out of it. You simply turned up the music in your headphones, but realizing that even that wasn't enough to drown out their jeers, you went to help the teacher negotiate boarding without written consent from all the students' parents.

By the time you'd made your arrangements, everyone had already boarded the plane. When you and the teacher boarded last, you wanted to sit as far away from Kai as possible, but the teacher, smiling, took your place, saying it would give you the best view of everyone. You were forced to sit next to Kai, which you were very unhappy about. He sat there, staring fearfully out the window, nervously fiddling with his hands. You sat next to him, calmly leaning back in your seat and fastening your seatbelt. The calm playlist in your headphones began to lull you to sleep.

As the plane began to take off, you were awakened by the loud laughter of your classmates. Curiosity got the better of you. You opened your eyes and immediately fell on Kai. He was sitting there, clutching his head, shaking all over. His eyes darted hysterically across the floor, searching for something. Naturally, everyone simply took it as withdrawal symptoms; he was a "drug addict," after all.

Kay: Where... Where... Where...

Kay muttered quietly under his breath. Anyone would have realized that Kay wasn't suffering from withdrawal symptoms, but rather aerophobia. But who cared if he was a nerd?
