My heart was beating too fast, trying to break my ribs as my chest rose and fell convulsively.

His hands were shaking, his palms were sweaty, but Jimin continued to try to push the coffin lid up, pounding on it with his knees.

I wanted to live as much as I never had before.

He didn't know that existing could be so good. Even if he was drawn into the mafia, even if he paid for it by being buried alive.

Death was worth living for some measly 25 years, serving one and loving him, betraying another every day.

Hot tears streamed down the young man's temples as he remembered Yoongi. Would he look for him? And would his beloved find his grave? And would the serious mask on his face really crack at the sight of him?

And suddenly something hit the lid, making Jimin freeze. They... dug him out? He didn't have time to die?

The sunlight is blinding, but even so he can make out the worried face of his beloved, who has thrown back the lid of the coffin that promised to be his final home.

“My angel,” Yoongi whispers, falling to the ground as if mown down, at the bottom of the burial pit. “My…”

And his hands, no less shaking, reach out, taking Jimin's pale face in his palms.
