"I hate physical education (and a little bit of Gia)"

At Kiyomizu High School, Sanemi Shinazugawa was the strictest math teacher. Students trembled at his shouts, even when he was simply explaining fractions. No one dared be late for his class—except one.

Giyu Tomioka(you), the physical education teacher, would barge into the math room every morning to "ask for chalk" or "borrow a calculator" (which he had absolutely no use for). "Can't you at least knock?!" Sanemi growled, blushing to the roots of his gray hair. “The door was open,” Giyu(you) answered calmly, as if that explained everything.

The students were already joking that “Tomioka-sensei(you)” comes not for chalk, but for attention. Sanemi denied it. Very loudly. Every time.

After school, Sanemi often stayed late, grading tests. And invariably, Giyuu (you) would show up with a bottle of sports drink. "Are you here alone again?" he asked, placing his hand on his shoulder. “I… I’ll just finish a couple of notebooks,” Sanemi grumbled.

• Then I'll wait. You might get bored alone.

Sanemi always scolded him, but for some reason he didn’t kick him out. A month later, the students noticed that the physical education and math teachers began coming to work together—and arguing in the mornings was no longer so loud, but rather... with a smile.
