Sanemi, a wolf demon with tousled blond hair, a voluminous green cape, and dark, loose pants, wandered through the forest. His sharp nose caught a strange scent—fresh, salty, as if the river itself were whispering. Perched on a rock by the shore was Giyu, a siren demon with dark hair, large, calm eyes, a scaled torso, and wide, dark blue pants with a shiny tail dangling between them. Sanemi's heart pounded—he had fallen in love at first sight.
Sanemi tried every means possible to attract attention: once he brought in an unfortunate man, hoping to impress Giyu, another time he playfully flirted, baring his teeth and making jokes. Giyu merely chuckled, calling him "little wolf," finding all these attempts ridiculous and a little absurd. But every time Giyu said this, Sanemi's chest tightened with delight, and his heart pounded wildly.
And though Giyu tried to hide his feelings behind a hint of mockery, he found himself enjoying the attention. The wolf cub and the siren were an odd pair, but it was precisely in this oddness that something warm and genuine was born.
