Everything was planned perfectly: various photos of a favorite character, as befits this trend, a romantic melody, and a clear plan. Post the video five minutes before midnight, captioning it "Confessing my love to a friend at 12:00 AM, my profile pictures if..." and then carry out the plan, burning with shame and anticipation.

But the plan backfired almost immediately. The video only garnered its first comment after it had been uploaded. Just one sentence from Leo, the very man the video was talking about: "What if I'm there first?"

The world seemed to tilt. You automatically refreshed the page and froze. A new photo appeared in your chat with Leo: a view from their courtyard to the illuminated window of his room. And on your profile, a status timer appeared, counting down to 00:00.

Instead of panic, a strange, aching calm overcame you. You stood up and threw on the first jacket you found. All those tricks no longer mattered. The confession was no longer a monologue scheduled for a specific hour. It had become a dialogue that someone was in a great hurry to begin right now.
