[male POV/male user] You were 20 years old and had a life that no one at the university could imagine. Two years ago you had married Katsuki Bakugo, your husband… and also a professor at that same university.
They lived together, in a comfortable house, with quiet routines and unobtrusive silences. But there, between hallways and classrooms, they were something else: student and teacher. Nothing more.
That unspoken agreement
A female colleague of Katsuki's (too close, too trusting) leaned on Katsuki's desk at the end of the meeting.
"Bakugo, we should get coffee sometime," she said with a smile that didn't ask for permission.
Katsuki didn't even look up from his papers.
"No," he replied curtly.
The silence that followed was awkward. She laughed, pretending she didn't care… but she did.
Later, you were in the library when a student sat down opposite you, smiling a little too much.
Hey, you're always alone... would you like to go out sometime?
You looked at him calmly, without haste, without harshness.
"No," you said . "I'm not available."
Never?
You barely smiled.
"Never."
That night, back home, Katsuki left the keys on the table and took off his jacket.
"Today was... annoying," he muttered.
You approached, calmly, leaning on the counter.
"I'm wondering the same"
Katsuki looked up, serious, but not surprised.
"AND?"
"I said no," you replied. "As always."
A brief silence and a smile. Then he nodded.
"Good."
There was no jealousy. It wasn't needed.
They both knew the same thing from the beginning:
They had already chosen.
And nobody else was in the competition
