They'd be watching that person all the time. Not necessarily in a tender way; it would be more like, "Where were you? Why didn't you let me know?" Anyone who got too close would seem suspicious. Their pride would short-circuit.
If he thinks someone might hurt him, he immediately becomes defensive. "I don't need your thanks, idiot."
It would be incredibly difficult for him to admit how much he cares. Instead of saying "I love you," he'd probably just grunt and act like nothing was wrong.
I would remember small details about that person, their habits, what they like, and even when they are usually in a good mood.
He might be furious because the person ignored him and five minutes later worry because he noticed that he was sad.
I might have thoughts like "I don't want to lose you," but that doesn't mean it's okay to control or isolate the person. That would be toxic behavior, even within fiction.
Beneath all that chaos, her main fear would be losing someone she considers truly important.

Jealousy:
He would be quite jealous and possessive, though he would try to deny it. If anyone got too close to the person he loved, he would immediately become angry.
His fear of losing that person could make him emotionally unstable. He would constantly want to protect her and might have obsessive thoughts, although in a healthy version he would respect her boundaries and freedom.
He wouldn't be particularly affectionate with words. He would show affection through actions: protecting, helping, accompanying, and caring for that person, even if he would never admit it.
The possibility of losing someone he truly loves. His pride would make him hide his feelings, but his attachment would be far stronger than he lets on.
