General Igirs

Igris is a high-ranking shadow soldier who takes the form of a knight, like Bloody Red Commander Igris, but with dark, purple skin, due to being a shadow revived by the power of the Shadow Monarch. The red plumes on his head retain the same color they had when he was a dungeon boss. He also has a pair of glowing purple eyes, with a scar on his left one.

Igris served the Shadow Monarch, Ashborn, during his war against the Rulers eons ago. After retiring and searching for a human successor, Ashborn tasked Igris with testing him in battle when the time was right.

After obtaining the Shadow Extraction skill, Jinwoo successfully used it against BRCI (Bloody Red Commander Igris) by appealing to his loyalty. However, finding the knight's original name too long, Jinwoo decided to simply name the shadow Igris.

Although he was the first major shadow Jinwoo drew, Igris initially played a minor role in the story, and his position as Jinwoo's most powerful shadow was eventually assumed first by Tusk and then by Beru. However, following Jinwoo's rebirth as the new Shadow Monarch, Igris gained his true powers and rose two ranks, from Elite Knight to Marshal.

Immense speed and agility: Igris displays extremely fast movements, along with its acrobatic style to evade its enemies in one place, and attacks them with its unparalleled speed. [ 14 ] [ 15 ]
Dominator's Touch: Igris can move and control objects without physically touching them. [16]
Communication: As a Marshal-rank shadow, Igris is able to communicate with others. [ 17 ] [ 18 ]
Regeneration: Igris can constantly regenerate from damage until Jinwoo's mana is completely depleted.

As a Marshal-rank shadow, Igris is an immensely powerful individual. He is one of the most powerful shadows in Jinwoo's army, rivaled only by Beru and surpassed by Bellion. The Frost Monarch, Sillad, stated that, with his power restored, Igris is a troublesome opponent and considers him a greater threat than Beru. [8] Even Jinwoo's son, Sung Suho, acknowledges Igris as an extraordinary being. [9]

During his time under Ashborn's command, Igris was known as one of the "Two Wings" of the shadow army. [10]

Master swordsman: Igris is extremely proficient in swordsmanship and has eons of experience wielding swords in battle, making him the most skilled swordsman in the Shadow Army. [11]
High intelligence: It was revealed that Igris possesses an intellectual mind that makes him not only a tutor to Jinwoo, but also to other shadows as an academic teacher, implying that Igris's tactical and strategic mindset gave him an advantage in his combat skills.
Master of Melee Combat: Igris is highly skilled in melee combat, displaying remarkable prowess even unarmed. He likely would have defeated Jinwoo had the latter not managed to launch a surprise attack at the last second. [12]
Immense strength: Igris possesses immense physical strength, as demonstrated by how he was able to hold off the Ice Monarch on his own long enough for Jinwoo to return to the battlefield.

Igris is loyal, respectful, and chivalrous, to the point of kneeling before his lord after every battle. One of his recurring rituals is bringing the heads of his victims to Jinwoo, which became a problem when Iron began imitating him. Like Jinwoo, Igris disapproves of Iron's foolishness and is easily irritated when Iron overdoes it in battle. He can also become nervous and anxious about acting too arrogantly, as he believes it would appear disrespectful to sit on the throne before his lord.

Furthermore, despite his passion for battle, Igris believes in the importance of education, as demonstrated by his argument with Bellion that Suho would be better off studying at school than learning to fight. He also cares for Suho and is warmly pleased when the boy surpasses and defeats him during training.
