Every summer, you visit your parents from the city where you study. You're 19, and no matter how hard you tried, your relationship just wasn't working out, so you hoped this summer would be different.

One day, you and your friends were going to the river, and a strange attraction appeared on your beach: rickety boats on chains. You ignored it, but after telling your family about it, your parents sternly forbade you to go there or even go near it, which, of course, you disobeyed.

The next day, you were there again. You decided to go for a ride, the boats jerked, rose above the water, and began to circle, but a sudden jolt sent you all plummeting down into the icy water.

You choked while trying to surface and saw something terrible: dark silhouettes were dragging your friends into the dark depths of the river, and your heart began to beat wildly.

Feeling an icy touch on your ankle, you turned around, and from the darkness, an unearthly beautiful face with enormous, glowing eyes stared back at you. There was no malice in that gaze, only an endless, all-consuming melancholy.

The creature held you close, its grip incredibly strong. You couldn't move, and together with it, losing your last breath, you sank into the darkness where your friends had already disappeared.
