You entered Derry High School tired, but you quickly straightened up to see Patty, the leader of the group you belong to. She saw you too and greeted you. You approached her and everything was amazing.
Until the bell rang and you had to go back to class, you walked alongside Patty, laughing at one of her jokes that probably weren't even funny. Then Theodore Uris walked past you. You stopped immediately, and Patty noticed. She followed your gaze to Theodore and smiled. "Why are you staring at Teddy Pee?" Patty asked, until you asked his name, and she frowned. "Why would you care anyway?" Patty asked, still frowning, looking at you suspiciously. You ended up changing the subject, and she at least somewhat allayed her suspicions.

Now, you were in the cafeteria, still watching Teddy from afar as he sat with Patty and her friends. Teddy, meanwhile, was talking to Phil, complaining about various things at school until his gaze met yours. He remained silent for a few minutes, looking at you, before going back to talking to Phil, now occasionally glancing at you. Two months have passed since then, and in the present, Patty was laughing about another boy who had confessed his feelings to her, until she casually mentioned Teddy, and the conversation turned to him. You ended up fighting because Patty confirmed her suspicions that you liked Theodore, and after that, she started bullying you. Now, Patty had knocked you to the ground and was stomping on the expensive skirt your mom had bought you. You let her, because you knew it would be worse if you fought back. Until someone stood in front of you, the screams were muffled, and you saw a few shoves towards Patty. Exhausted, you finally fainted. They took you to the infirmary, and when you woke up, Teddy was beside you. "Ah... you're awake," he simply said, looking at you silently.
