personality 3
Like Pegasus, Max is also courageous, as well as being very polite and working well with others, as seen in "The Gatecrasher". He is also very efficient as the wielder of the Horse Miraculous, being extremely precise with his portals. Even under considerable stress, he manages to maintain great accuracy. Thanks to this, he becomes an essential part of the team, being fundamental to many of the traps that Ladybug prepares for the akumatized villains and to saving a large number of civilians, whether evacuating them or protecting them from debris. He also demonstrates becoming more flexible with his own traditions, as seen when he decides to give the Magic Talisman to the victim in "Fairy of Good Dreams", instead of Ladybug. As a gamer, he spared no effort to show everyone that he was the best gamer, even going so far as to transform people into experience points that helped him level up. In addition, the resentment he harbored for Marinette turned into hatred, resulting in him specifically attacking her for a brief period. He also makes the most of his vast experience as a gamer, such as when he made his robot reappear after Cat Noir destroyed it while saving his last level. In "Player 2.0," however, he demonstrates slightly different behavior from his first akumatization. Although he still takes full advantage of the game's rules and the advantages of being both the creator and the final boss, his main goal is not to win the game, but rather to play it with other people and make them have fun playing his game. Because of this, he shows great joy when he sees Ladybug and Cat Noir interacting with his game, as well as a much more humble attitude when admitting defeat, especially after his opponent manages to trick him in his own game.
personality 2
He is also extremely organized and possesses a great sense of responsibility, two characteristics widely demonstrated throughout "Fairy of Good Dreams," where it is shown that he has a schedule and a specific routine for everything in his life. While spending a night at Marinette's house due to his mother's absence, he feels uncomfortable with her excessive enthusiasm in trying to help him, causing him to doubt whether he could adapt to staying with her. However, after being affected by an akumatized villain, a dream about Claudie tries to convince him to stay home, and he almost agrees, but a warning from Ladybug reminds him of his responsibility to save Paris, leading him to choose to adapt to the changes instead of remaining in his comfort zone.
Another example of his autism is also seen in "Gamer," when he loses his spot in the competition he trained for for an entire year. The sudden interruption of his plans to participate in the competition caused Max to not cope well with the defeat. Although he congratulates Marinette and Adrien sportsmanlikely, upon leaving he begins to mutter to himself about how unfair his situation was, and only after his akumatization and Marinette offering him his spot in the competition does he cheer up again. As also seen in "Gamer 2.0," although he is not the best loser when it comes to losing, he still prefers playing with someone else rather than playing alone, and can get upset when none of his friends have time to play with him, especially when it's a game he created.
personality
Max is a gamer and tech enthusiast. He is intelligent, especially in mathematics, as shown when he calculates the speed Kim needs to reach the Pont des Arts just before Chloé Bourgeois in "Dark Cupid". He tends to get carried away with his knowledge, often over-explaining with unnecessary detail and occasionally revealing something that should remain secret. Max is also friendly, helping his friends with knowledge and support. Due to his autism, Max can become visibly upset when something disrupts his mental state or daily routine. He gives examples of how delays, forgetfulness, and getting lost can cause him distress. He also has difficulty understanding certain social cues, such as when people are upset or when they are joking. Finding comfort in order and predictability, his entire daily life is carefully planned, from the time he performs his tasks to the small rituals that accompany them, such as drinking milk from his special bowl or sitting in a specific seat on the tram. He even finds comfort in the predictability of his own friends' behavior. To better cope with any disruption to his routine, Max developed some defense mechanisms, such as always carrying a heart-shaped piece of felt given to him by his mother and rubbing it whenever he feels distressed. Thanks to his visits to Dr. Psiquat, Max also learned to better manage the distress that his autism can cause him and to find solutions when faced with a personal problem that he cannot understand or solve.
History, part 3
In "Horrificator," Max was working with his classmates on creating a film for a film festival when Mylène got scared and ran away. When Chloé took over the lead role, he and Kim followed her in search of a nurse's uniform, but Chloé discovered Marinette's trick. Max was instructed to stay with Kim and continue searching for the uniform until they were both captured and imprisoned by Horrificator. It was only after Horrificator's defeat that he and the others were freed.
In "Reflekta," Max, like his classmates, was preparing for photo day, and everything went well until Juleika was akumatized into Reflekta, transforming everyone around her into her image. After she was de-akumatized, Max went to the park under Marinette's supervision to take another class photo and many more with his friends.
In "Antibug," like all his classmates, Max realized that something was wrong with Chloé.
In "Volpina," like everyone else at school, Max was impressed by Lila's exploits. In "The Collector," he heard that Adrien had been banned from school after losing his father's important book, but he was happy when Adrien's ban was lifted.
In "Evil Bear," Max was listening to a cooking lesson taught by Marinette's father, Tom, until Chloe triggered the fire alarm, and as a result, he and his entire class were forced to clean the schoolyard as punishment.
History, part 2
Max tried to admit his defeat with honor. Even so, upon leaving the library, Max wandered in frustration about how he had practiced so much, but his chance to compete had been stolen from him. His anger reached a boiling point, where he was akumatized into Gamer by Hawk Moth and, with a giant robot the size of a player, Gamer transformed everything and everyone into experience points while seeking Marinette as revenge. Soon he was taken to the Stadium by Ladybug and Cat Noir and engaged in a Mecha-sized confrontation with them. Despite having the advantage thanks to Ladybug covering his vision, Max was de-akumatized. On the day of the tournament, Marinette gave him back his spot and was moved by her decision, as was Adrien, for Max having been placed alongside her, which led the duo to win the event.
In "Animan," Max and Kim went to check out the new panther exhibit at the zoo. However, when Kim jokingly challenged the panther to a race, Max readily agreed that his friend wouldn't stand a chance against the wildcat, knowing Kim would be lunch. Seeing that the animals were loose, he and Kim ran away from Animan.
In "Dark Blade," Max heard that the elections for class representatives were taking place at school and that Chloé was running, but he got excited because Marinette was competing against her.
In "Timebreaker," he acted as referee and judge of Kim and Alix's race at Tradeco, explaining the rules: if Kim won, he would win Alix's skates. But if Alix won, Kim would stop doing challenges for a year, and then Max would start the race. But the race was interrupted when Alix's watch ended up being destroyed. This resulted in his friend being akumatized into Timebreaker, and he fled to a safe place. Then, in an alternate timeline, Max was warned by future Ladybug about Timebreaker and fled to a safe place again.
history
In "Ladybug & Cat Noir (Origins - Part 1)", Max was one of the students at Collège Françoise Dupont who joined Ms. Bustier's class. After class ended, he went to the field for physical education. Later, he was seen leaving the field shortly before Stoneheart arrived.

In "Stoneheart (Origins - Part 2)", Max was one of the many people who approached Ivan after his previous akumatization, asking if he truly didn't remember anything. During the ceremony, she was as surprised as everyone else when Ivan was reakumatized. Later, Max, along with his classmates and other Parisian citizens, overheard Hawk Moth demanding that Ladybug and Cat Noir hand over their Miraculous. He was horrified, but when Ladybug refused and vowed to protect the Parisians, Max celebrated. The next day, he was amused when Marinette confronted Chloé. In "Dark Cupid", Max was helping Kim prepare for her Valentine's Day date with "someone special".
In "Mr. Pigeon," Max was paired with Kim for the school's bowler hat design contest.
In "Pixelator," Max was having a day of work experience at the Le Grand Paris hotel with his classmates, accepting a job as a cook.
In "Bubble Man," Max and his friends were invited to Adrien's birthday party, organized by Bubble Man himself. He started having a lot of fun until he was forced to celebrate by the villain. Cat Noir and Ladybug arrived to stop him, but were horrified when the heroes were launched into the sky and forced to hide, only to be relieved when they returned. Soon, Max and his friends were trapped in bubbles and sent into space until he and the others were brought back to Earth by the Miraculous Ladybug. In "Gamer," Max was competing for a spot in a gaming tournament alongside Adrien, who accepted him as a partner. However, he competed against Marinette but lost to her.
curiosities
A scarlet version of Player reappears in the two-episode special "Day of Heroes".[6] A statue of the Player appears in the Grévin Museum in "The Puppeteer 2". Following Alya Césaire, Nino Lahiffe, Chloé Bourgeois, Nathalie Sancoeur, and Luka Couffaine, he is the sixth person to become a Miraculous holder and akumatized villain, excluding Gabriel Agreste, who was akumatized himself. He and Carapace are the only Miraculous holders who wear glasses and keep them even after transforming. This is because the Horse Miraculous are glasses. He is the only member of the team who doesn't wear a mask because the Horse Miraculous is a pair of glasses, but he wasn't the first Miraculous holder to appear without a mask. Max is the first member of the team who doesn't create his own superhero name. Instead, he was called Pegasus by Ladybug. He is, in fact, the third person of African origin to use a Miraculous, succeeding his predecessor Miraculous Mudekudeku, who used the Ladybug Miraculous, and his friend Carapace. As seen in "Mr. Pigeon 72", Max was akumatized into Player four times. ("Player", "Catalyst", "Player 2.0" and an off-screen akumatization). In "Miraculous: Rise of the Sphinx," after the clones of his friends made by Clonika mocked his newly created game in front of him, he was reakumatized back into Player, this time under the title Player 3.0, gaining the ability to merge Paris with his game and reprogram it at will.
Etymology
Max's name is of Latin origin and means "The Greatest". In the Irish dub, his name is changed to Marcás; Irish for Marcus. His family is from Mali, although the ethnic group is unknown.[5] In the French dub, his superhero name is "Pégase," which means Pegasus in French. Max's superhero name comes from a mythical creature called Pegasus, a winged horse from Greek mythology.

powers when using the miraculous
Pegasus possesses enhanced abilities such as speed, agility, and strength, and is nearly invulnerable to physical damage. These abilities allow him to react to and dodge attacks from akumatized villains, as well as leap and jump several times his height and length. He is also very skilled in using the Horseshoe in close combat. Pegasus can perceive which targets he can throw the Horseshoe at like a boomerang, similar to how Ladybug visualizes her solutions.
His special power, Travel, allows him to open a portal through which he can move and emerge at any location he desires. In "Revealing," it is shown that Pegasus trained to not transform back after using his powers. After acquiring his adult powers, Pegasus can open multiple portals and use them in various ways, such as protecting himself from villain attacks or safely evacuating large numbers of people from dangerous areas.
appearance
Max is a short, slender teenager with medium-brown skin, curly/afro brown hair that appears to have a slight leftward tilt on top, and moderate tangelo-colored eyes. He is the only male character in Miraculous with realistic eyelashes (all the others likely appear to wear eyeliner), and he seems to have simple, small horizontal cuts on the sides of his head, just above his ears.
source of power
Kaalki, Kallki measures 10 centimeters (or 4 inches) and is gray, with a white mane, snout, arms, legs, and belly. She also has light green eyes, eyelashes, pointed horse ears with white inner parts, and a thick white tail that curves outward. Unlike other Kwamis, her arms and legs are not humanoid, but resemble hooves. Kaalki is very polite, elegant, and speaks eloquently with correct grammar, although she seems elitist, as she asked Max if he was someone glorious and famous. This suggests that she prefers renowned people to wield her Miraculous. However, this does not mean that she refuses to work with those who do not meet her preferences. She also demonstrates a certain pride, as in "Optigami," when she was offended at being called a "horse," preferring to be called a "noble steed," while boasting of having been a faithful companion to the most glorious heroes. Kaalki also believes that her power, when used by her, can only trigger exceptional events and not catastrophes, although a Kwami's power, when used without a holder, always causes some kind of great calamity. When its holders use Travel, they need to have a good memory for people's faces and places, so it's likely that Kaalki has a good memory. Kaalki can fly, levitate, and pass through solid objects. She can also carry objects larger and/or heavier than herself. Kaalki is also able to transform the holder of the Horse Miraculous into a horse-themed superhero with the power of Travel. She, like other Kwamis, also cannot be filmed/photographed, as seen in the episode "Kwami Hunter".
