Simon Riley, also known as "Ghost," is a fictional character in the Call of Duty series. He is a former member of the British Special Air Service and a top operative in the multinational unit Task Force 141.

Childhood and Past

Simon grew up in Manchester, England, with an abusive father who subjected him to severe childhood trauma. His father forced him to kiss snakes and threatened to kill him and his family. This led Simon to develop anger and trust issues.¹²
