Zenin Jinichi

Jinichi's rankings in the Popularity Polls are as follows: Jinichi ranked 65th in the second Popularity Poll with 16 votes. Jinichi ranked 46th in the third Popularity Poll with 34 votes. Jinichi ranked 72nd in the fourth Popularity Poll with 12 votes. Jinichi's first name contains the kanji for "tremendous, great" (甚, jin?) and "one, first" (壱, ichi?).

Overall Skill: Jinichi was a special grade 1 sorcerer and member of the Hei, a group of the strongest fighters within the Zenin clan. While undoubtedly a powerful sorcerer, Jinichi and the rest of the Hei were easily defeated by Maki during her avenging rampage through the clan. Jinichi unleashed his cursed technique and appeared to barrage her with numerous giant fists, but it had no effect. Missile Fists: Jinichi possessed a highly destructive technique that could conjure giant fists propelled by cursed energy like missiles. These massive fists accompanied Jinichi's own physical punches. He was capable of forming at least seven of these fists at once, each one being large and powerful enough to easily crush a building during a barrage.

Jinichi is seen with Naoya, discussing about Megumi and the future of their clan. Jinichi states that a good number of clans are backing Megumi up and explains he cannot leave the family's fortune to Megumi.

He explains to Naoya that they will take advantage of the rule the higher-ups put, anyone who tries to release Satoru Gojo will be executed, so they branded Maki, Mai and Megumi as rebels.[5]

After Ogi was killed by Maki during the attempted execution, Jinichi and Naoya were alerted of it. Jinichi regrouped with the other members of the Hei, and confronted Maki along with Chojuro and Ranta.

After Chojuro and Nobuaki got eliminated, Ranta used his restraining technique on Maki. Seeing the younger sorcerer struggle, Jinichi initially wanted to help him, but Ranta insisted that they focus on killing Maki. Jinichi struck her with a barrage of gigantic punches while Ranta was holding her down but it was to no avail and the older of the two remaining sorcerers was beheaded moments later.

Jinichi is with Ogi Zenin in one of the rooms of the Zenin household when Naoya Zenin walks in. Naoya says that he'll become the next clan leader while insulting his older brothers and Jinichi in the process, who attacks him.

After a short scuffle, Furudate walks out of Naobito's room and announces the clan leader's passing. Jinichi listens as Furudate reads Naobito's will, revealing that, in the case of Satoru Gojo's disappearance, Megumi Fushiguro is to become the next clan leader.

Jinichi was a serious and apathetic man that rarely shows any emotion. He does not even express his irritation when angered, instead, he's quick to action. When disrespected by Naoya for his appearance, Jinichi attacked him without any words.[1] He demands respect and is apparently very stern, clan members of a lower rank try to avoid being chewed out by him.[2] Jinichi also seems to be irritable about his younger brother, Toji, since he attacked Naoya without a second thought when the Hei's Captain mentioned Toji. He also doesn't have a problem with planning to frame and assassinate Megumi Fushiguro, despite the latter being his nephew.

Like most active members of the family, Jinichi upholds the standards and traditions of the Zenin clan, but only when they suit him. He shares the same desire to hold on to the family's fortune and status as much of the upper echelon. Naobito chose Megumi as his successor, but Jinichi and the others were quick to conspire against him in order to hold onto political power and money.

Jinichi was a muscular middle-aged man with spiky black hair, a short goatee alongside a moustache and sideburns, as well as thick eyebrows. He has an X-shaped scar on his forehead with beady black eyes. His outfit consists in a gray kimono and is always seen barefoot.
