Base of Operations
Zenin Household: A large property owned by the Zenin Family that includes several interconnected buildings that house numerous members of the clan. The estate also includes several areas for meetings, training, and storage. Additionally, there is an alarm bell placed in a high-reaching tower.
Cursed Warehouse: The Zenin Family possesses a secure underground storage warehouse for keeping cursed tools. It's locked with a key that can unseal the chains and stitch-like holdings keeping the entrance closed. Following the Shibuya Incident, Jujutsu High's own cursed warehouse was emptied out when members of the Zenin and Kamo clans claimed all the weapons there. The Zenin's own vault was cleared of cursed tools by Ogi Zenin so Maki couldn't take any for herself.
Disciplinary Pit: The clan keeps numerous cursed spirits ranked grade 2 in below in a large room meant to be used for training and discipline. Ogi brought his twin daughters here after they were injured as a way of indirectly executing them

History Zenin clan
Itadori's Extermination Arc
Naobito Zenin was the most recent head of the Zenin Family before the events of Shibuya. He embodied the aforementioned ideals of the family in addition to its long-standing dislike for the Gojo Family.[8]
In his will, Naobito left everything to his son Naoya, who much like himself, embodies the problematic traditions of the major clans. Eager to become the head of the family, Naoya openly welcomed his own father's death. However, in Naobito's will, there was a clause that stated if Satoru Gojo was incapacitated for any reason then Megumi was to become the heir. It was always Naobito's intention to make the Ten Shadows Technique user the next head of the clan but Satoru Gojo interfered in his deal with Toji. With Satoru Gojo sealed, Naobito's last act was to ensure that Megumi would be placed at the head of the clan. Trapped in a struggle for political power, Naoya didn't hesitate in a decision to kill Megumi.[9]
The personality of each member of the Zenin clan
Naobito: Very nervous and isolated always drinks alcohol arrogant person who mocks someone weaker than him He always clashes with Maki because she is weaker than him and because she is an outcast He has no sense of responsibility
naoya : He is arrogant and does not acknowledge that anyone stronger than him sees himself as stronger. He has no family values and has no problem mocking the elders of his clan. He wants to become stronger than Toji, which is why he always makes fun of Maki, even when she was superior to him at times. He has no sense of shame and has no problem cooperating with others and enduring humiliation just for his own interests
Ogi : He is firm, but very selfish, to the point where he does not hesitate to sacrifice his daughters and describe them as a disgrace just because they do not have any talent in cursed energy, and he considers his daughters the reason that he is not the head of the family.
ranta: Shy, inactive, loyal and loyal to the clan, respectful to the elders of his clan, treats everyone with respect, and considers that the reason for the clan's survival is that Toji did not destroy it.
Jinichi: He is formal, serious, and indifferent. He does not show his feelings or anger when someone does not respect him, but rather attacks this person directly. He maintains the clan’s traditions and formalities as long as they suit him.
Chojuro: While Chojuro didn't show his personality explicitly, it could be argued that he is a self-assured person. Chojuro's grin also suggests that he thinks little of his opponents, probably relating to his confidence in his fighting capabilities.
Mai: She was subjected to mistreatment from her clan because of her little talent in cursed energy. She is submissive and obedient to her clan. She hates her sister, Maki, and considers her liar logical, rational, and conscious .
Nobuaki: A religious arrogant man who takes advantage of his subordinates, a toxic exploiter and scum
The personality of the outcast members of Zenin's clan
Megumi: Outwardly stoic, aloof, not outgoing, and quick to anger He is serious and takes all situations seriously Conscious, logical, and accepts things quickly He hates bullies and bad people and always hits them, and he hates people who are very kind, both bullies and bad people.
maki: Stubborn and strong-willed, she always seeks to exceed the standards set for her by her clan. Zeinin is isolated and does not like to get help from others. Tough but kind on the inside, she trains those she loves harshly to make them stronger She conceals most of her feelings and does not show any interest in romance, which makes her colleagues like to tease her about the fact that she does not have boyfriend or romantic relationship.
The Zenin Clan's inheritance technique
The "Ten Shadows Technique" of the Zenin Family can summon up to ten powerful shikigami using shadows as an intermediary.[61] "Projection Sorcery" divides one second into twenty-four frames and allows the user to trace a predetermined course. Anything touched by the user's palm must also abide by the 24 FPS rule or they will be frozen for one second inside an animation frame, leaving them completely vulnerable to attack.[66]
Additional information about the Zeinin clan
The Zenin clan values powerful cursed techniques above all else and rejects their own family members if they don't deem their power acceptable. Even Toji Zenin, as powerful a fighter as he was, found himself rejected by them due to his lack of cursed energy and left the clan, even changing his surname
Inherited Technique For every member of the Zenin clan 1
Naobito : Projection Sorcery (投とう射しゃ呪じゅ法ほう, Tōsha Juhō?): This technique allows the user to divide one second into twenty-four frames and trace a predetermined set of movements to execute in that second. It uses the user's field of view as the projection angle of view. While Projection Sorcery is active, anything touched by Naobito's palm must abide by the 24FPS as well or they will get frozen for one second inside an animation frame. Naobito uses this technique to appear to move faster than the eye can see in addition to freezing any adversaries that can't keep up with his speed.[18]
Naoya: Projection Sorcery (投とう射しゃ呪じゅ法ほう, Tōsha Juhō?): Naoya inherited his father's innate technique, allowing him to turn one second into 24 frames and trace a predetermined set of movements using his field of view as the angle of view. While the technique is active, anything touched by Naoya's palm must abide by the technique's 24 FPS rule or they are be frozen for one second inside an animated frame.[43][44]
ogi: Blazing Courage (焦しょう眉之びの赳きゅう, Shōbi no Kyū?): This technique allows the user to eject flames from their weapon. Ogi uses this technique with his katana, being capable of both ejecting fire to replace the broken blade[20] and intensifying it to make the flames deadlier.[21]
Ranta : Paralyzing Gaze: Ranta possessed a paralyzing technique that envelops anyone he gazes upon in an immobilizing aura. It also manifests a large pair of eyes that create the aura that restricts Ranta's target, placing a strain on his real eyes as a side effect.[7] While trying to restrict an immensely powerful Maki, the backlash on Ranta's eyes was great. Maki was able to push through the conjured eyes and break the paralysis, causing Ranta's eyes to bleed profusely.[8] The strain was so severe that Ranta eventually succumbed to his injuries.[9]
Inherited Technique For every member of the Zenin clan 2
Jinichi : Missile Fists: Jinichi possessed a highly destructive technique that could conjure giant fists that propelled by cursed energy like a missile. These massive fists accompanied Jinichi's own physical punches. He's capable of forming at least seven of these fists at once, each one being large and powerful enough to easily crush a building during a barrage.[8]
Chojuro: Earth Arms: Chojuro's technique allows him to manipulate the earth to some degree. By touching the ground and activating his ability, Chojuro created two giant stone arms to attack Maki, clasping her between the hands. She was easily able to break out, surprising Nobuaki who believes she shouldn't have been able to move at all after being hit.[4]
Mai: Construction (構こう築ちく術じゅつ式しき, Kōchiku Jutsushiki?): An inefficient technique that consumes most of Mai's cursed energy to create something from nothing. Her limit is a single bullet per day and the backlash for activating this technique is severe. While wounded, Mai was also able to create a cursed tool sword at the cost of her life.
maki: Heavenly Restriction In exchange for her lack of cursed energy, Maki has always possessed exceptional physical prowess. While not as superhuman as Yuji Itadori, she possessed peak human capabilities comparable to sorcerers who constantly train in cursed energy reinforcement. Maki's strength allowed her to work effectively as a sorcerer by wielding cursed tools despite having enough cursed energy to be technically considered one.[77] The minor amount of cursed energy Maki possessed was holding back her Heavenly Restriction. In exchange for escaping from cursed energy completely, Maki was granted a "body of steel" with capabilities even beyond that of Yuji. Her prowess is now comparable to Toji's, especially after learning to use her body's capabilities to the fullest. Not only does she possess superhuman strength and speed, but Maki can see inorganic matter and grab hold of normally imperceivable changes in air density and temperature.[78] [79] [80]
Inherited Technique For every member of the Zenin clan 3
Megumi: Ten Shadows Technique (十と種くさの影かげ法ぼう術じゅつ, Tokusa no Kage Bōjutsu?): A technique passed down in the Zenin Family which Megumi inherited, allowing him to summon up to ten potential shikigami using his shadows as an intermediary. It also grants the user overall manipulation of shadows, allowing Megumi to hide in shadows or store objects within his own shadow. Divine Dogs (玉ぎょく犬けん, Gyokuken?): Twin canine shikigami with powerful noses for tracking and lethal fangs and claws for devouring curses.[129] The white dog was destroyed by a Finger Bearer but its abilities were inherited by its black twin. Divine Dogs (Anime) Divine Dog: Totality (玉ぎょく犬けん「渾こん」, Gyokuken・Kon?): An improved version of the black Divine Dog that's incorporating the power of its fallen white twin. Totality is strong enough to content with special grade cursed spirits, making it Megumi's strongest offensive shikigami. Divine Dog Totality (Anime) Nue (鵺ぬえ, Nue?)[130]: A winged shikigami armed with electro-shock wings that can carry people short distances. Megumi mainly uses Nue for scouting or to support another shikigami using its mobility. Megumi summons Nue against Sukuna (Anime) Great Serpent (大蛇オロチ, Orochi?)[131]: A gigantic snake shikigami that was used to ensnare Megumi's targets. It was capable of destroying low-level curses but only bound Sukuna momentarily before being destroyed. It is currently unknown which other shikigami inherited its power. Great Serpent (Anime) Toad (蝦が蟇ま, Gama?): A large toad shikigami with a long and powerful tongue that can grab people and pull them through the air. Toad's tongue can be used to pull Megumi or his allies to safety and then carry an entire person in its mouth if need be. Megumi's Toad rescues Nobara (Anime) The Well's Unknown Abyss (不知井底せいていしらず, Seiteishirazu?): An extension technique that combines Toad and Nue to summon numerous winged toads that support Megumi in battle. Any number of these winged toads can be destroyed without Megumi losing the ability to summon Nue or Toad.[132]
cursed energy 1
Cursed Energy (呪じゅ力りょく, Juryoku?) is a power source aligned with negative emotions used by sorcerers and cursed spirits to fuel their jujutsu Negative emotions such as grief and anger are the foundation of cursed energy. These emotions exist to some degree within most humans and as a result, the vast majority of human beings possess cursed energy. If this amount is higher than a certain degree, it grants the person the ability to see cursed spirits. These individuals are known as jujutsu sorcerers and they are very rare among the human race. Cursed energy leaks from the human body, accumulates, and ferments over time until a cursed spirit manifests.[1] This is only the case with non-sorcerers, as sorcerers are trained to control and channel their cursed energy into jujutsu.
Cursed energy is the primary power source for any sorcerer or cursed spirit. Cursed tools, cursed objects, and cursed corpses all contain cursed energy as well. It is ordinarily used to fuel cursed techniques, reinforce the body, or activate talismans, but cursed energy has various uses. The properties of cursed energy vary from person to person and its connection to the human brain is shrouded in mystery. In the anime, most cursed energy is blue in color but there are several exceptions. Cursed Energy Perception (呪力感知, Juryoku Kanchi?)[2] refers to the ability of humans with above-average levels of cursed energy to sense, and especially see, curses and jujutsu. The minimum requirement for a human to be considered a sorcerer is the ability to see curses. In extreme cases, humans will gain the ability to see curses when their life is in danger. [3]
cursed energy 2
The strength of a sorcerer or curse is generally assessed by their levels of cursed energy. Strong cursed energy can result in physical pressure that instills fear into those who sense it as a method of intimidation. The same concept can be applied to a jujutsu battle where reading an opponent's cursed energy is an effective way to predict their movements. Prediction based on cursed energy can backfire when faced with a fighter in cases where their physical prowess outclasses their cursed energy. Physically fast and strong fighters with low cursed energy are often unpredictable to enemy sorcerers.[4]
Sorcerers can also notice small, vague differences in cursed energy in addition to its overall amount. Suguru Geto, a curse manipulator who must consume curses, has slightly altered cursed energy.[5] The Inverted Spear of Heaven possesses foreign cursed energy that can cancel out jujutsu.[6] Yuji Itadori, Choso, and Naoya Zenin, could sense Yuta Okkotsu's presence without even physically locating him. Yuji mistook him for Satoru Gojo, the world's strongest sorcerer, simply because of Yuta's overwhelming volume of cursed energy, before realizing it was far more ominous than their sensei's.[7]
Observing how cursed energy fluctuates as someone fights is an effective way of judging someone's overall cursed energy. Reggie Star noticed the massive shift in cursed energy output when Fumihiko Takaba suddenly attacked Iori Hazenoki.[8] Ryu Ishigori saw Yuta participate in a small scuffle and could immediately tell that his cursed energy was immeasurable. Ryu could feel as Yuta's cursed energy depleted,[9] and when Yuta connected with Rika's full manifestation, Ryu could also sense his adversary's cursed energy filling back up as well.[10]
cursed energy 3
Using jujutsu leaves Residuals (残ざん穢え, Zan'e?) of cursed energy behind. Residuals leave spectral footprints that can be used to track the user. Someone can even be identified by the residuals from their jujutsu. Expert sorcerers can be trained to cover up their residuals. The ability to detect cursed energy and understand its flow can be honed, but many cursed spirits are capable of hiding their presence the same way a sorcerer does.
Cursed Energy Manipulation 1
Controlling Cursed Energy A jujutsu user's ability to control their cursed energy and use it to carry out certain functions is the base foundation for all jujutsu. There is a world of difference between being able to sense jujutsu and being able to use it. Yuji Itadori was able to sense the pressure of cursed energy surrounding his school, but was not able to utilize it until enrolling at a jujutsu educational facility. He was first able to utilize cursed energy in combat while he was overwhelmed with anger and fear, but could not do so in a calmer situation a few days afterward.[11] Control over cursed energy requires innate skill and vigorous training. In order for Yuji to develop his skills, Gojo had him undergo special training that saw him controlling his emotions and his cursed energy at the same time. Yuta Okkotsu, someone with an overabundance of cursed energy, was trained to control it by constantly imbuing it into a katana. By training with the katana Yuta learned to manipulate his cursed energy to a degree and was capable of using it to exorcise curses almost immediately. Satoru Gojo compares cursed energy to electricity: it's volatile in nature and difficult to use in its rawest form.[12] While raw cursed energy can be used for its blunt force, it's best used by sorcerers to power their techniques in the same way electricity is best used to fuel electronics. In this case, cursed energy is flowed into a technique to activate a sorcerer's unique abilities.[13] However, cursed energy does not flow on its own. Yuji Itadori's cursed energy used to lag behind his superhuman speed when he threw a punch, resulting in his Divergent Fist technique. This delay was due to his inexperience with making cursed energy flow properly throughout his body.[14]
Cursed Energy Manipulation 2
Proper control over one's emotions is key to channeling cursed energy and every jujutsu sorcerer is trained to do so. This makes it so sorcerers don't waste their power supply even while they're overcome with emotion.[15] This results in sorcerers leaking much less cursed energy than the average human. So much so, that if every human were a sorcerer, curses would cease to spawn. There are other differences in how sorcerers and non-sorcerers use cursed energy due to their profession, but the real reason lies in how it flows. While cursed energy leaks outward from non-sorcerers, it flows heavily within sorcerers which keeps it contained.[16] Most sorcerers have to make cursed energy flow, so most instinctively believe it starts from the negative feelings in their stomach and flows through the rest of the body. However, thinking of one's body as different sections is what delays the flow of their energy. In order to understand this cycle, one must realize that they exist in the world with their entire mind, body, and soul as one. Aoi Todo helped Yuji stop taking this maxim for granted, greatly accelerating his progression as a sorcerer.[17]
The flow of an elite jujutsu sorcerer is difficult to read because they have greater accuracy in controlling cursed energy. Their cursed energy is evenly distributed across their body, making their attack hard to predict until the very moment it's executed.[18]
Cursed Energy Manipulation 3
Applying Cursed Energy Applying cursed energy to physical attacks can be as effective as a cursed technique when it comes to gifted combatants who specialize in hand-to-hand combat. Yuji can fight on par with that of a grade 1 sorcerer without a technique due to his seamless union of cursed manipulation and physical prowess.[19] Satoru Gojo was also able to successfully overpower multiple special grade curses using only cursed energy manipulation after deactivating his Limitless technique.[20] The amount of cursed energy released by an individual is referred to as their potential Cursed Energy Output. This applies to both how it's used offensively and defensively. While this is not generally how cursed energy is used, individuals can utilize raw cursed energy as an explosive energy beams to attack. Finger Bearers can launch their energy as a projectile and erect cursed energy barriers.[21] Ryu Ishigori has such a high degree of cursed energy output that he can discharge it in the form of a large-scale blast wave.[22] It is such a feat that Kokichi Muta[23] only through his cursed corpses, Hanami only through flower offering,[24] and Yuta Okkotsu only through the fully manifested Rika are able to discharge concentrated cursed energy beams, despite all of them being blessed with an incredible amount of cursed energy.
Defensively, users can coat their skin in cursed energy to harden their body and increase their ability to block incoming curse related attacks.[25] The same application can be used offensively, imbuing physical attacks with cursed energy to increase their destructive power to superhuman levels. Aoi Todo crushed a curse, several trees, and broke through Yuji's defense with a single cursed energy infused punch.[26]
Cursed Energy Manipulation 4
Conventional weapons can also be infused with cursed energy to increase their strength. Imbuing too much cursed energy at one time to a normal weapon can compromise its integrity and destroy it, so a sorcerer must only infuse small amounts of energy at a time.[27] Imbuing moderate amounts of cursed energy over time can transform a normal weapon into a cursed tool.[28] Special Traits There are rare cases where cursed energy carries a special property unique to its user. When applied to their fighting techniques, it can grant them a special texture or effect that gives them an advantage in battle. These special traits cannot be defended by simple reinforcement techniques. Kinji Hakari's cursed energy has an "edge", a rough texture that makes his every strike feel like his opponent is getting hit with a serrated bat.[29] Hajime Kashimo's cursed energy has the properties of electricity, which keeps his body in a constant state of electrification and makes all of his attacks impossible to defend against.[30]
However, extreme amounts of cursed energy output can allow someone to mostly ignore these effects. Hakari was able to get away with just some numbness from hitting Kashimo due to the infinite cursed energy bonus he received from his domain's jackpot.[31]
Grade 1
Grade (級きゅう, Kyū?) refers to the power scaling system that ranks jujutsu ranging from grades one to four, and special grade. It is used to categorize the strength of jujutsu sorcerers,[1] cursed spirits, cursed objects and cursed tools. Description Jujutsu High assigns their sorcerer's grades to assess their skill level ascending from Grade 4 to Grade 1. Students generally start at Grade 4 upon joining the school, but this depends on experience.[1]
Cursed spirits are ranked on a similar scale but not exact. The higher-ups can be particular when it comes to ranking cursed spirits. The distinct difference between a grade 2 and a semi-grade 1 curse is whether or not it is capable of using cursed techniques.[2] Jujutsu sorcerers are expected to take on missions involving curses of the same level. A Grade 2 sorcerer should be able to defeat a Grade 2 curse because their skill level is closer to the strength of a Grade 1 curse.[3]
Cursed tools are also categorized from grades 1 to 4 based on power and potency. The higher the grade, the greater advantage they provide in battle.[4] All Special Grade cursed tools except for Playful Cloud are imbued with a cursed technique.[5]
Cursed objects are also classified according to the grade of the curse they contain. After a cursed object used for incarnation, the incarnated individual has same grade as the cursed object.
Grade 2
Ranks Following rankings are used to classify jujutsu sorcerers, cursed spirits, cursed tools and cursed objects in general:
Grade 4 (四よん級きゅう, Yonkyū?) Grade 3 (三さん級きゅう, Sankyū?) Semi-Grade 2 (準じゅん二に級きゅう, Jun Nikyū?) Grade 2 (二に級きゅう, Nikyū?) Semi-Grade 1 (準じゅん一いっ級きゅう, Jun Ikkyū?) Grade 1 (一いっ級きゅう, Ikkyū?) Special Grade 1 (特とく別べつ一いっ級きゅう, Tokubetsu Ikkyū?) Special Grade (特とっ級きゅう, Tokkyū?) If traditional weapons were used against curses and sorcerers measured their effectiveness as a gauge:
Grade 4 - "A wooden bat is enough." Grade 3 - "If you have a handgun, you can rest easy." Grade 2 - "Close call with a shotgun." Grade 1 - "Even a tank might be insufficient." Special Grade - "Cluster bombs might work."[6] Promotions Jujutsu sorcerers can be promoted up in rank by receiving a recommendation from a sorcerer of a higher rank. The higher the rank, the more a sorcerer is paid for the more dangerous jobs that come with it. When it comes to students, their teachers are not permitted to submit a recommendation for their promotion.[7][8]
A sorcerer submits a request for promotion based on their recommendation to one of the jujutsu higher-ups, such as Kyoto school Principal Gakuganji.[9]
When it comes to being promoted to Grade 1, upon receiving recommendations from two or more sorcerers of that rank, the nominee will accompany a sorcerer of that level on several missions. The one who accompanies the nominee can't be the same person who put in the recommendation. If they perform well on these missions, the nominee will be granted a Semi-Grade 1 rank and be assigned a mission to exorcise a Grade 1 alone. Based on the outcome of that, the decision to permit or deny Grade 1 status will be decided.[10]
As explained by Kenjaku in his fight against Choso in the Tombs of the Star, a special grade sorcerer is someone capable of wiping out a nation with one hand behind their back.[11]
Grade 3
Grade Registry Known Grades Grade 4 Grade 4 is a rank meant for weak and inexperienced sorcerers. Maki Zenin is the only known Grade 4 but this is due to the Zenin Family holding her back from promotion.[12] Maki Zenin
Grade 3 Grade 3 is an average rank for jujutsu sorcerers to have, especially students.
Nobara Kugisaki
Mai Zenin
Semi-Grade 2
Little is known about the purpose of this intermediate rank.
Panda
Grade 2
Grade 2 is an above-average level for a sorcerer. Most great sorcerers are between Grades 1 and 2, so they are not by any means weak.[13] It is exceptional for a student to be Grade 2, a status which allows them to take on solo assignments.[14] A student receiving a Grade 2 rank upon enrolling is considered to be a genius.[15]
Takuma Ino
Megumi Fushiguro
Semi-Grade 1
Semi-Grade 1 is a rank for sorcerers who have completed their accompanied missions following their recommendation for Grade 1 with satisfactory results.
Toge
Inumaki
Noritoshi
Kamo
Kokichi
Muta
Grade 1
Grade 1 sorcerers are the ones who uphold the standards of what a sorcerer should strive to be and are the ones fit to lead society. It is the highest status a sorcerer can hope to achieve through the natural progression of ranks, as Special Grade is something of a misrepresentation. The level of danger on missions, the amount of confidentiality entrusted to them, and the compensation are far greater than Semi-Grade 1 and below. [16]

Aoi Todo
Masamichi Yaga
Grade 4
Special Grade 1
Special Grade 1 is a rank that refers to sorcerers outside of the technical school system (ungraded active sorcerers) whose power is considered to be on the level of a Grade 1 sorcerer. [17] Naobito Zenin, former head of the prestigious Zenin Family, was referred to as a Special Grade 1 Sorcerer. [18] Other elite members of the Zenin Family carry this rank as well. [19]
Naobito Zenin
Naoya Zenin
Jinichi Zenin
Special Grade
Special Grade is a rank reserved for anomalies within. the jujutsu community. It is reserved for sorcerers with such immense strength that their destructive potential is immeasurable, making them very exclusive and unique cases, hence the title "special". As a testament to its rarity, as of 2018, there are only four registered sorcerers with the Special Grade rank. [20] Sukuna, a powerful curse user from the Heian Era, is recognized as the King of Curses, [21] with his fingers[22] and himself[23] being collectively categorized as Special Grade.
