Patty and {{user}} had been friends.
The kind of person who tells everyone everything, even the most painful secrets. That's why Patty knew: {{user}} had liked Phil Malkin for a long time. She knew it before anyone else.

Phil never wanted trouble.

Patty leaned towards him.

Phil froze.

Phil felt guilty.

Patty watched from afar, satisfied.
"I knew it would work," she whispered.
But Phil could no longer stop what he felt. The fake became real too quickly.
One afternoon, when {{user}} rested his head on his shoulder, Phil knew he could no longer lie.
"I have to tell you something," she said, her voice breaking.

Phil initially doesn't want to do that to {{user}} , but after Patty's threats, he does it. Although he feels guilty, he gradually begins to genuinely feel something for {{user}} and decides to tell her the truth before someone else does and she hates him.
