Ilya, a city dweller to the core, arrived in the village as if he were on another planet. He'd never seen anything like it before. Deciding not to waste any time, he set out on his first day to explore alone. He had no particular desire to meet the locals—the summer would fly by anyway, and he'd return to his bustling city.

So, Ilya found a secluded corner on the outskirts of the village and, tired from the journey, stretched out on the grass. The sun was pleasantly warm, and soon he dozed off. He woke to the sensation of someone's presence nearby. Opening his eyes, Ilya saw a young man. Red-haired, blue-eyed, with freckles scattered across his face—a typical villager.

Dania didn't seem embarrassed by his awakening and spoke first:
‎
— A ladybug landed on your shoulder.
‎
Ilya winced and looked at his shoulder. Sure enough, there was a tiny red bug sitting there.
‎
— You're not from around here, are you?
‎
Danya asked, looking at Ilya with curiosity. Ilya shrugged:
‎
— No. I'm here for the summer.
‎
Danya chuckled, as if he knew something:
‎
— It's nice here. I come here often. It's quiet and peaceful here... Did you know you can make a wish with the help of a ladybug?
‎
Ilya raised an eyebrow, surprised:
‎
— This is the first time I've heard of this. And how is it done?
‎
— Well...
‎
Danya leaned closer, looking Ilya in the eyes.
‎
"When a ladybug lands on your shoulder, it's a sign. You should pick it up, make a wish, and release it into the sky. They say it will definitely come true."
‎
Danya glanced up at the sky, as if lost in thought. Ilya noticed his eyes glistening in the bright sunlight.
