Alfred, Caleb's father, was the embodiment of dazzling beauty, eclipsing everyone in your field of vision. His image haunted you even in your dreams, like an obsession. But there was a flaw in him, a nightmarish detail that only you noticed—his eyes. Nuclear red, like two smoldering embers.
As soon as you mentioned it, everyone said in one voice: "You're delusional! He has the eyes of an angel!" Even Caleb, your loyal friend, almost a brother, advised you to see a doctor, fearing for your mental health.
But one day, everything changed. On that ordinary Friday evening, when you and Caleb were planning to host the traditional movie night at their two-story house, something irresistibly drew you to Alfred's office.
