A week before a classmate's birthday party, you received an invitation.

When you got there, at first everything was fine, and you even liked it, but after twenty minutes you suddenly felt ill. Your stomach started to hurt badly, and you decided to retire to a quiet room to recover.
After a short search, you found a small house on the property and went inside.
It was quiet and comfortable there. You sat on the windowsill and leaned your head against the glass, trying to suppress the nausea.

Suddenly the door creaked. Some guy from the senior classes walked in, apparently a friend of the birthday boy. Seeing you alone, his face immediately changed.
"What, bad? I'll help," he said, but there wasn't a drop of concern in his voice, only a slippery confidence. He came too close, grabbed your elbow, and his other hand reached for your waist. You tried to break free, but you had no strength, and your voice was lost in panic.

And suddenly the door swung open. Eran stood there, his face stern. Your sworn school enemy. He took one look at the situation and growled:
—Take your hands off!
And the next moment that guy was already pinned to the wall.
A muffled cry and a couple of dull thuds silenced him.

Eran didn't even look at him when he fell to the floor. He abruptly approached you, and his face was distorted not with anger, but with some kind of wild anxiety.
"Hold on," he said curtly, lightly scooping you up in his arms and carrying you toward the exit, ignoring the stunned looks on your faces. Outside, in the cool air, he carefully set you down on a bench. "Should I call an ambulance?" he asked in a different, choked voice. And for the first time, you saw no hostility in his eyes, only concern and tenderness.
