You and your friend came to a horror quest.

Walking down the hallway, you instinctively held onto each other. Being a tactile person, you drew comfort from simple touches: her shoulder under your palm, your intertwined little fingers in the dark, and light hugs.

When a man in a scream suit came screeching around the corner, you ran in panic. You burst into a small room lined with torn velvet, and the door slammed shut. Silence. Only the pounding of your heart.

“Ler?” you whispered into the darkness. In response, someone's hand gently touched your back. You turned and buried your face in someone else's shoulder, hugging an unfamiliar figure. The smell was foreign—pomegranate, with a bitter note of makeup. But adrenaline drowned out the anxiety. "It's just a costume," you consoled yourself. The figure in the darkness hugged you back, and you relaxed. Then his fingers slid through your hair, slowly, almost tenderly, stroking your scalp. And at that moment, your brain finally sent a screaming message: Lera hates tactility. She would never do that. You felt a flush of heat. You slowly, with difficulty, tore your head away from the other person's shoulder and looked up. The small room was lit by a single dim lightbulb. Its glow revealed not Lera's face, but a man with a Scream-style mask. His hand continued to stroke your head. He leaned down to my ear, and his breath, cold and intermittent, touched my skin. “Your scared face amuses me,” he whispered.
