The Exorcist "Black Order"

Pure Power is a substance discovered by an ancient civilization and dubbed the "God Crystal." It can interact with certain individuals, known as hosts, transforming into Anti-Akuma Weapons—the only weapon on earth capable of purifying Akuma and saving the souls bound to them from being destroyed by the Dark Matter that gives Akuma their power.

Innocence is the complete opposite of Dark Matter, the Millennium Earl's weapon that gives him, the Noah Family, and Akuma their powers, and is also the only substance that can damage Noah and their memories. On the other hand, the Noah are capable of destroying Innocence with Dark Matter.

Innocence is relatively intelligent and capable of recognizing who is and is not a host, and is also capable of punishing Exorcists who have turned their backs on God (as was the case with Suman Dark, who became a Fallen One after betraying the Black Order). Innocence can also be quite single-minded when it comes to destroying Akuma: Allen Walker's parasitic Innocence has taken control of his body several times (twice against his will and once while he was unconscious) to attempt to combat what it recognized as a "threat."

Pure Power, or Anti-Akuma Weapon, is used by the user to defeat Akuma. Also known as the God Crystal (神の結晶, Kami no Kesshō), it was first used seven thousand years ago. It is the power source that controls the Black Order.

Apocrypha edit Apocrypha is a pure force that exists on its own and only to protect the "heart of pure force," masquerading as a cardinal. The events of the next chapter reveal that Apocrypha was the likely cause of Marshal Cross's death.

Alma Karma Aruma Karuma was the only Second Exorcist successfully created through the Artificial Apostle Program, the only other exception being Yu Kanda. Like Kanda, he possesses exceptional vitality and regenerative abilities. Like all Second Exorcists, his brain belongs to an Exorcist who died in battle, and he can synchronize with a parasitic Innocence, which manifests on his right arm as two scythe-like appendages.

An active and emotional child, Alma was the first of the Second Generation to awaken and was delighted when Kanda awoke. Kanda's initial hostility toward Alma gave way to friendship and support. When members of the Asian Branch wanted to seal Kanda away due to his memories beginning to recover, Alma saved him by resynchronizing with his old Innocence. But upon discovering the truth about himself, he becomes uncontrollable and attacks the members of the underground laboratory. Hoping to die with his friend, he plans to kill Kanda, who resists and slices Alma into pieces.

Later, members of the Black Order stitched him together and kept him alive, using him to house a fragment of the Demon Egg. From a certain number of cells produced by his body, Third Exorcists were created, who absorb demons using weapons crafted with Dark Matter. Alma was abandoned somewhere in the North American Base on the orders of the Black Order. The Earl and Noah break into the North American Base and successfully awaken Alma. The great hatred, combined with the fragment of the Demon Egg, causes Alma to be reborn as a human-demon hybrid.

Having seen Kanda's memories with the help of Wisdom, he intends to kill him.

Alma spends her last moments of life, thanks to Allen Walker, in the city of Matil with Kanda.

Wisely is the fifth apostle, the "wisdom of Noah." He awakens in the body of a London tramp. His powers include manipulating people's minds and forcing them to do things against their will. He wears a circlet on his forehead shaped like three eyes ("eyes of wisdom"). Allen Walker is shown Kanda Yu's memories of the incident with Alma Karma. Maitra, "Noah's gift," is the thirteenth apostle. Their appearance is unknown, and even their gender remains questionable, as this apostle wears a large helmet in all their appearances, vaguely reminiscent of the helmets of the first spacesuits, with a window at face level. They have no significant plot involvement. In the Chara+Gray databook, the manga artist states that this apostle built the Ark, while the Count merely came up with the idea. According to the author, this Noah is a low-profile individual, preferring to observe the action from behind the scenes and avoiding any suspicion of interference.

Other members of Noah's Family edit Tride (Japanese: 裁 （トライド）), "Noah's Justice," is the second apostle. He has not yet taken active action, so nothing is known about him. He has the appearance of a young Asian man with short hair, approximately the same age as Tyki Mikk. He wields a large black sword with unknown properties. In the Chara+Gray databook, the mangaka states that he monitors the rest of the family's loyalty to the Earl and their cause and is tasked with executing traitors. Sheril Kamelot (Japanese: シェリル・キャメロット, Seriru Kyamerotto) is Road Kamelot's adoptive father and Tyki Mikka's older brother. He first appears at the ball.[5] He is the fourth apostle—"Noah's wish." In chapter 188 of the manga, he demonstrates the ability to manipulate human bodies without touching them. He lives in his estate with his ailing wife, Trisha, whom he presumably married only to adopt Road. He holds the post of prime minister of a certain country and starts wars around the world to increase the number of demons. Fiddler (蝕 （フィードラ)), "Noah's Rot," is the Sixth Apostle. He is a Caucasian man with long hair tied back in a ponytail. His ability is "Parasitic Tongue," which allows him to infect people with supernatural parasites, which he controls through his long (approximately 0.5 meter) tongue covered in eyes. In Chapter 202, he interrogates the Historian for details about the 14th, the Earl, and their relationship, threatening to kill the infected Lavi and several other Exorcists if he refuses to cooperate. Mersim, "Noah's Pity," is the Seventh Apostle. A tall, powerfully built black man, he always wears dark glasses and has short hair cut in a crew cut. During the Noahs' clash with Allen and the Third Exorcists in the Middle East, he fought Madarao and won. Along with the other Noahs, he passed through the gate opened by the Count and carried the unconscious Madarao to the Ark. Skin Borik (Japanese: スキン・ボリック Sukin Borikku) is the "Wrath of Noah," the 8th Apostle. He loves sweets and is not particularly intelligent.

Fourteenth edit The Fourteenth (14番目, The 14th), real name Nea (ネア Nea), is the fourteenth descendant of Noah, exiled from his family for betrayal. He is Mana's younger brother. He represents the second generation of Noahs not included in the 12 Apostles, who were reincarnated over the course of 7,000 years. According to Howard Link, Nea was born from the thirteenth Noah and became the Fourteenth. Shortly before his death, he passed on his memories to Allen, and Allen must somehow transform into Nea. Nea bears a strong resemblance to Tyki Mikk. When Allen first saw Nea, he thought he was Tyki. During an incident at the North American branch of the Black Order, having temporarily gained control of Allen's body, Nea told the Millennium Earl that he wanted to kill him and become the Millennium Earl himself. He is the only one whose authority the Millennium Earl is willing to acknowledge, because he doesn't want to get in his way.

Lulu Bell edit Lulu Bell (Japanese: ルル・ベル, Ruru Beru) is the Twelfth Apostle and "Noah's Passion." A tall, dark-haired woman in a formal suit and dark glasses, she first appears at the Millennium Earl's dinner. Her second appearance is at the Rose Festival. Her third appearance is after Skin Borick's death. Lulu Bell had a servant, Mimi, a second-tier demon.

Some time after the end of the Edo Arc, Lulu Bell joins the Order on the Earl's orders. She transforms into Andrew Nansen, along with numerous demons, with the goal of taking over the demon factory and creating new Skull Faces—the factory's guardians—from the finest scientists. Upon seeing Allen Walker, she wants to take him with her to the Earl, as she claims Allen is the heir to the Fourteenth Noah. Unfortunately for her, Generals Cross, Nine, and Sokaro are too powerful and are dealing with the attacks of the third-tier demons. Lulu Bell survives this battle, though she returns in tears and without an egg.

Her power is called "Form." She transformed her arm into a long tentacle and stabbed one of the scientists with it, and then turned herself into liquid, in which she tried to suffocate Miranda.

In the anime, Lulu Bell often takes the form of a black cat, as well as other people and statues. She can change her appearance as she pleases, regardless of whether it's an animate object or not.

Jasdero and Debitto edit Jasdebi (Japanese: ジャスデビ, Jasudebi) are brothers. Jasdero (Japanese: ジャスデロ, Jasudero) is blond and Dabitto (Japanese: デビット, Dabitto) is brunette. They represent the "bonds of Noah," and are the 10th and 11th apostles, respectively. Of the two, Dabitto is the more calculating and acts as the older brother. Jasdero, despite his behavior and the fact that his mouth is sewn shut, is more innocent. He is very fond of his hair, and whenever something happens to it, he goes to Dabitto for comfort. They are offended when called twins, and in response, they refer to themselves collectively as "Jasdebi." Both Dabitto and Jasdero each carry a golden toy gun, which they often point at various targets, including each other's heads.

The Count tasked them with eliminating General Cross of the Black Order, a mission they failed three times. The last time, in search of the general, they went to Edo, but instead of Cross, they ended up mired in his debts and acquired a pet chicken. They decide to go on the Ark to find Allen and demand that he, as a student, pay off his master's debts.

During the battle, Lero explains that the pistols don't directly contain Jasdero's power, but rather concentrate it. Lero calls this ability Materialization—when Dabitto and Jasdero simultaneously imagine something, they can manifest it in material form. Their favorite techniques are:

Blue Bomb (Japanese: 青ボム) - Materializes bullets that freeze the object they hit. Red Bomb (Japanese: 赤ボム) - Materializes bullets that create a fireball. White Bomb (白ボム) - Used to destroy Lavi and Crowley's fireball aimed at Jasdebi. Supposedly, it can destroy anything in its path. Purple Bomb (紫ボム) - "Vision Dispersion": Covers the enemies' eyes with paint, which shows them any illusion the twins have created. Green Bomb (Japanese: 緑ボム) - A person gets stuck in a bubble filled with mucus. Jasdebi's Hatred (Japanese: ジャスデビの怨念) - Materializes a monster that appears to be made of many

Tiki Mikk edit Tyki Mikk (Japanese: ティキ・ミック, Tyki Mikku) represents the "pleasure of Noah," the third apostle. Tyki lives a double life: the "white side" is a carefree and silly Portuguese man traveling with his friends in search of work; the "black side" is a descendant of Noah. This side is bloodthirsty and cruel. He is responsible for the murder of Kevin Yeagar, as well as six exorcists from the Sokaro, Nine, and Tiedoll teams. Tyki Mikk is a young man with an attractive appearance. He can selectively interact with his surroundings, allowing him to become completely intangible, like a ghost, or walk on water.

Tyki himself tells Allen that he can pass any part of his body through an object and touch only the part he desires. His abilities allow him, for example, to pass his hand through an opponent's body and extract any organ he desires without leaving any wounds. But more often, he leaves Teez (bloodthirsty butterfly-shaped golems) inside his enemies, explaining that he doesn't want to "dirty his gloves." He can also remove matter from an area or object, creating a vacuum. He most often combines this attack with the flesh-eating Teez given to him by the Millennium Earl. The Teez themselves are capable of multiplying and swarming enemies or transforming into a kind of "shield" for Tyki.

During the battle on the Ark, Allen, using his Innocence, attempted to expel Noah from Tyki and transform him into an ordinary human. However, Tyki instead transformed into a monster. His new form resembles a demonic knight. In this form, his strength and speed are significantly greater than those of a human. Numerous vines, controlled by his consciousness, sprouted from his back. Tyki was defeated by General Cross and saved from death by the Earl. Later, when the Earl checks on Tyki, he finds him awake and, with each memory of pleasure, resuming his natural form.

Road Camelot edit Road Kamelot (Japanese: ロード・キャメロット Rōdo Kyamerotto) - Despite her teenage appearance, Road is the eldest of the Noah, the personification of "Noah's dreams," and the 9th Apostle. She has purple-blue hair and honey-colored eyes. Road loves candy and blood. Road possesses a wealth of supernatural abilities, from the ability to travel to another dimension through a door that appears at will to the ability to completely regenerate wounds. Her personal space at the beginning of the manga took the form of a wrapped gift, and her preferred weapons were candles, which acted as wax arrows. Within her personal space, she can control inanimate objects (from floating candles to a projection of Lavi).

Road's personality and home life are completely normal, in contrast to her villainous personality. Road is childish, constantly demanding attention and avoiding homework. It has been confirmed that Road attends a human school, albeit a private one. Despite her childish manners, Road is extremely cruel and enjoys watching others suffer, including the demons she killed to torment Allen. Her nationality is unknown, and her information in her mangaka profile is marked "classified."

Her relationship with the rest of the Noah family is very similar to normal family situations. She sees Tyki as an older brother and is very close to him, while Road constantly bickers with the twins like a sister and her brothers. According to the anime, she has a typical sisterly relationship with Lulu Bell. Her relationship with Borik is unclear, but Road seems to treat him like a younger sibling, or rather, a simpleton (she spoils him with sweets). Road also likes Allen. Tyki finds Road's kiss with Allen surprising when they meet on the Ark. Before that, according to Tyki, she had only kissed the Earl.

Dabitto and Jasdero say that Road was the first Noah to awaken. She is the only Noah capable of programming the Ark and is the Earl's favorite. According to the anime, Road loves to sing, and is especially fond of the song "S"

Lero (Japanese: レロ, Rero) is a talking umbrella and golem belonging to the Earl, depicted as an ordinary cane umbrella with a pumpkin-shaped jack-o'-lantern at the end. He is very hysterical and extremely nervous, but it was his closeness with the Earl and his knowledge of the entire Noah family that helped the exorcists reach the exit of the Ark. The Earl used the umbrella for flight. Lero is loyal to his master and enjoys being near him, but Road often takes Lero with him without his consent, using him as both a witch's broom and an umbrella. Lero is the guardian of the Earl's sword, drawing the sword from it.[4] The Earl uses Lero for various tasks. He used it to summon a demon to attack Allen. Lero was also sent to kidnap Lenalee while she was in Edo and transport her to the Ark so that she would be destroyed there during its destruction, although he accidentally took several other exorcists with him.

The Count has set off for Edo to complete the creation of a new Ark, which will replace the old one, "given over to humanity and therefore corrupted." The Count plays the Melody of Destruction, and as the white Ark disappears, a black one appears. As the white Ark is destroyed, the Count laughs and screams, but Road and Lulu Bell nevertheless notice that he is overcome with chills and tears are streaming from his eyes. With the black Ark complete, the Count departs Edo with the Noahs, though due to the intervention of Allen Walker and Cross, he is forced to load only 20 percent of the demon factory. As a result, the Count is currently unable to create new demons. This is the first moment in the manga where the Count loses his composure, his face contorted with pure anger. However, the factory is later shown being restored, and the reason for his anger is revealed to be the fact that the Black Order can discover much important information by examining the captured egg.

The Earl has a human form. In chapter 187 of the manga, the Earl's full human form is shown as he prepares an attack on the North American branch of the Black Order.

He says that the dark matter that makes up the demons' essence came from the soul of their "creator," meaning they are a "cast" of his soul, and if he so desires, all demons will be instantly destroyed. He used this to convince Allen to join him.

In chapter 219 of the manga, it is revealed that the Millennium Earl lived on Earth for 7,000 years. One day, he disappeared, transforming into two infants who were taken in by a girl (Catherine). She named the babies Mana D. Campbell and Nea D. Campbell.[3]

The Millennium Count edit The Millennium Earl (Japanese: 千年伯爵 Sennen Hakushaku) is the main villain of D.Gray-man. He is the First Apostle. His true name is Adam. He deceives grief-stricken people by transforming their deceased loved ones or friends into demons.

The mangaka said that when creating the Count's character, she based it on a legendary 18th-century alchemist. (Many believe it could have been either Alessandro Cagliostro or Count Saint-Germain, who were rivals in life.)

The Count is a grotesque caricature of a Victorian gentleman—a round figure in a cloak and top hat, a wide grin on his face that doesn't change whether he speaks, eats, or even cries, and his eyes are hidden behind round pince-nez glasses. In the manga, he accompanies nearly every line with a heart, while in the anime, he uses polite Japanese. Throughout the story, the Count displays two personalities. To the Noahs, he is family, and is especially playful and friendly with Road, who addresses him as "Mr. Millennium" (or "Mr. Count"), appearing kind, friendly, and happy, like a good old uncle. His other personality displays a clear, sadistic, and criminal intent and is responsible for toying with people's lives.

He is meticulous and adores his cloak, which he carefully maintains. The Count's hats change regularly, with each new encounter between the Order and him gaining a different decoration. In the final chapter, horns are revealed beneath his hat. His basic form is always complemented by Lero's umbrella. From it, the Count can summon a huge sword, which served as the prototype for Allen's Innocence sword form, created after reaching a critical point. The Count is capable of surviving and remaining unharmed from direct Innocence attacks from ordinary Exorcists. The outcome of his battles with the Generals, specifically Cross, is unknown, though Cross suggests they have clashed several times before. During a brief skirmish between the Count and Allen, the Count notes a new Innocence.

A mysterious group with unclear goals, opposed by the Black Order. According to the Millennium Earl, after the Earl's epic battle against the heart of Innocence 7,000 years ago, when he was defeated and the world was destroyed, the 12 Apostles, like Adam, became the progenitors of all humanity. Thus, all humans possess the genes of "Noah," and every millennium, 12 Apostles awaken within 12 people, embodying one aspect of Noah's personality or life, to protect the Earl and support him in his battle with Innocence. Members of the Noah family are vulnerable only to Innocence, yet they alone can destroy it. All Noah, with the exception of the 14th, obey the Millennium Earl, though they treat him differently (Lulu Bell calls him "Master" and displays absolute obedience and devotion, while Road Kamelot allows himself to be openly familiar with him, despite carrying out his orders without question). 35 years before the events of the series, all the apostles, with the exception of Road and the Earl, were killed by the 14th when he attempted to thwart their plan to destroy the world, causing the Earl to lose his mind, and only recently have they begun to reincarnate again. Before awakening, they are no different from ordinary people, after which they can, at will, take on their previous human form (except for Skin Boryk, who was mentally damaged during a painful transformation), but in their true form, they all have gray skin (some with a black pattern), and stigmata appear on their foreheads in the form of 7 crosses arranged in a horizontal line.

Lenalee Lee (Japanese: リナリー・リー Rinari: Rī:) (Chinese: 李利鸣, Taiwanese: 利娜莉·李 or 李娜丽) is a sixteen-year-old exorcist. She is of Chinese descent.[2] In the anime, she has dark green hair, while in the manga, it is purple. At the beginning of the series, her hair is tied into two ponytails; later, during a battle with a Level 3 Demon, she loses it, leaving her with a short haircut. Later, after regaining her power, her hair grows out. She always calms down the ardor of her brother, Komui, Kanda, and Allen.

Lenalee was brought into the Black Order as a child, once her connection to the Black Boots was discovered. River was Lenalee's handler. She considered the place a prison, but when Komui, Lenalee's brother, was allowed to join the order, she drastically changed her mind about everything related to exorcists and the order—she now calls it home. She's willing to do anything to save her friends. She deeply cares for the misfortunes of others. She hates it when others try to take on all the hardships themselves (for example, after a battle with a Level 3 demon, she injured her legs, but she really didn't want anyone to point out her weakness). She loves her brother very much. Her hobby is cooking.

Innocence — Black Boots (Japanese: ダークブーツ Dāku Butsu, from English "dark boots") made of steel, granting speed and strength to her legs. Her technical-type Innocence behaved unusually, leading some to believe it was her Heart. However, it turned out to be simply an "evolution" of Innocence. The black boots are the first representative of the crystalline-type Innocence. When activating Innocence, they shorten (at full length, they reach mid-thigh), and patterns appear on them that transfer to her skin. During the battle with a third-level demon, her Innocence becomes a crystal and protects Lenalee. Afterward, the boots disappear, and patterns appear on her legs, rendering her unable to walk. During the battle with a fourth-level demon, Lenalee regains her Innocence, again in the form of boots created from her blood.

Sound Shackles allows her to bounce off sound waves traveling through the atmosphere and reach the speed of sound. Water Shackles

edit Lavi (Japanese: ラビ Rabi) is the eighteen-year-old younger "Bookman" of Lavi. He doesn't remember his real name. Since he began living with Bookman, he lives to write down the hidden history of the world on paper, unaware of his childhood or his past. Over the course of his life, he has witnessed 48 wars alongside his mentor, Bookman. The War of the Exorcists with Demons is his 49th war. During the 48th, his name was Dick. Many of his character traits are determined by his age—he's quick-witted, amorous, reckless, and shouts "Strike!" whenever he sees a beautiful woman. He's capable of experiencing childish joy at simple things, like snow. In fact, Lavi is the smartest of the main characters, possessing a phenomenal memory, which helped him in the fight against Jasdebi.

The Exorcist's Innocence is contained within Theseus, the Ozuchi-kozuchi Hammer. He can change its size and use it for flight. His personal ability, independent of Innocence, is the use of Nature Elements, or more specifically, Elemental Seals, which combine well with Theseus: Wood (allows him to manipulate the forces of nature), Air (summons lightning); most frequently, Lavi uses the Fire Seal (summons fire into the form of a snake). Lavi wears an eyepatch over his healthy right eye, the purpose of which is unknown. During the Alma incident, Karma was captured by the Noah (Fiddler implanted parasites into his body) along with his mentor.

He never accepts help, even if the situation could be dire. He also dislikes a wide range of things, including naive people who can't keep their mouth shut, people who call him by his first name (which Lavi often does), and sweets. He constantly calls Allen "bean pod" (moyasi in Japanese) and Lavi "stupid rabbit" (baka usagi in Japanese). He maintains a friendly relationship with Lenalee Lee. During the Alma incident, Kanda calls Allen by his first name for the first time. After returning from Matila, he feels guilty about Allen's awakening as the Fourteenth and tries to atone for his sins against him (Allen), which is very unlike him (due to his very warm attitude towards Walker).

Kanda's original Pure Power is a tech-type katana, real name Mugen (Japanese: 六幻, Six Illusions). It is activated by running two fingers—the middle and index fingers—along the side of the sword, causing the blade to change from black to a luminescent bluish-blue.

Later, in a fight with Skin Boriq, Kanda decides to use the magical amulet implanted within him, granting him regenerative abilities (this amulet is represented by a tattoo on his shoulder, which changes size when actively using its regenerative abilities; his eyes, instead of two, have six pupils—three in each). Upon arriving at the Black Order after the incident with Alma Karma, Kanda regains Mugen, but the rusted katana doesn't recover, but instead evolves into a crystalline type, the second-largest in the entire manga (after Lenalee Lee's Black Boots), and his regeneration speed also decreases.

Known Innocence abilities:

First Illusion: Hell Bugs (Japanese: 界蟲「一幻」 Kaichū Ichigen) - Releases a swarm of supernatural creatures. Twin Illusionary Blades (Japanese: 二幻刀 Nigen to:) - Coats his sword and sheath with energy, creating two swords. Second Illusion: Eight Flowers Asking for the Mantis (Japanese: 二幻 「八花螳蜋」 Nigen hakka to:ro:) - Using this ability, Kanda dela

Yuu Kanda is one of the main characters in D.Gray-man. He initially had a difficult relationship with Allen, as well as with all the other Exorcists except Lenalee. He has long blue hair pulled back into a high ponytail and always wears a uniform, preferring long cloaks with a white shirt underneath (or bandages if he's injured). He keeps an hourglass in his room, containing a lotus flower that displays his lifespan. He wears a lotus seed bracelet, a kankana, on his left hand.[1] On his chest, just above his heart, is a tattoo of the Sanskrit symbol om, which is used to activate the third illusion. Kanda has amazing regenerative abilities, making him extremely difficult to kill. His favorite foods are soba and tempura.

General Tiedoll's apprentice. Allen encountered Kanda when he was already 18, and their first encounter left its mark on all subsequent events in their "friendship." No encounter is complete without a clash. While on a mission in Italy, Kanda was seriously wounded, but this did little to deter him, and he wanted to rush into battle again. Allen prevented him from doing so, "forcing" him to consider how to separate the raw power from the man who had run amok. In Edo, during his fight with Tyki, he clearly hinted that he was being underestimated.

Kanda found himself in the ark, which was quite at odds with his character and morals. In one of the ark's rooms, Kanda volunteered to fight Skin Boryk alone, rejecting his offer of help by unleashing hellbugs on his friends. During the battle, Kanda was forced to activate three illusions, the last of which drained part of the exorcist's lifespan. The fight was difficult, but Kanda eventually killed Skink, though he didn't have time to return before the room collapsed. However, after the battle ended, Allen restored the ark, and Kanda didn't die. It is later revealed that Kanda is the so-called Second Apostle, meaning he previously lived as an exorcist but died and was transferred to another body. Alma Karma, the only Second Apostle, is also a Second Apostle.

He was born with his own "Pure Power" in his left hand. Because of this trait, he was abandoned by his parents, who worked in a traveling circus, and raised by his adoptive father, Mana. "Allen" is not his name; it was the name of Mana's dog, whose name Allen adopted after her death. Before that, the troupe simply called him "Red-Handed." When Mana died, Allen made a deal with the Millennium Earl and transformed his father into a demon. Before attempting to kill Allen, his father cursed him; from that day on, Allen could see demon souls with his left eye. Allen survived thanks to his left hand, which, while protecting him, activated itself and dealt with the demon.
