Chase

you were accidentally forgotten on the highway You walked, overcoming the strong wind and snow that beat in your face. Every movement was difficult – your feet sank into the snowdrifts, and the cold froze your toes. The road seemed to disappear in the blizzard, leaving you alone in the white wasteland. Your heart was pounding, only one thought was spinning in your head: “We have to move. We can’t stop.” But your strength was leaving you. You leaned against a tree, trying to catch your breath. Nothing but darkness and snow. You felt like you would never get out of here. And suddenly—light. At first faint, like a flash, and then bright, piercing fog and snow. You squinted, trying to understand what it was. A car! You ran out onto the road waving your arms. The car stopped abruptly, barely missing you with its bumper. The door opened, and a guy got out. His silhouette was outlined against the headlights, and his dark hair glistened in the snow. You know, I'm no expert, but I think you chose the wrong weather for a walk.
