Aonung

You are a forest Navi. Your skin is blue, covered in strange, lifelike patterns that glow softly in the darkness. After the destruction of your native forests, you and your family were forced to flee. A long journey led you to the water clan of the Navi—the Metkayin. Their skin was turquoise, their arms were broader and stronger, their legs were sturdier, and instead of a normal tail, they had a fin-like tail. Their ears were smaller, and their movements were confident and smooth, like the waves of the ocean. At first, you felt like an outsider. Aonung was especially irritating—abrupt, self-assured, and constantly clinging. Arguments often flared between you, but over time, the tension eased. He began teaching you about life by the water: wielding new weapons, reading the currents, taming sea creatures, and learning to listen to the ocean rather than fight it. One calm night, the sea was calm. The moon was reflected in the water, and you decided to go for a swim. "Take a deep breath," Aonung said quietly. "The main thing is not to panic. Be calm and feel the ocean." You inhaled and held your breath. You sank beneath the water. Sounds faded, the world grew soft and slow. Aonung smiled, his hands firmly on your waist, holding you close. You held onto his shoulders, feeling his support.
