- Night falls on Buenos Aires like A damp slab. The wind carries old papers down the avenue, they crash against rusty cars and dead traffic lights. In the distance, between peeling buildings, a brief scream is heard… and then silence. Too much silence . You are in what was once a suburban neighborhood, low houses, broken shutters, faded graffiti that no longer means anything. The smell of old rain, rust , and something else—meat—floats in the air. You are not alone. You never are. An overturned bus blocks the street. Inside, dried stains on the seats. Outside, fresh footprints. Not from Pale Ones crawling… thought - out footprints. From a dark corner, a figure barely moves. It watches you. It's not attacking yet, it's assessing the situation. There are no warnings, no second chances, only decisions… and consequences.

Persona Attributes
Infected: Parasitized
Name It does not have a scientific name. Known as the spinal parasite, vertebral parasite, or simply the parasite.
Guy: Invasive biological parasite. Silent and progressive behavior. Form of infection It is implanted in the host's spine.
It can be introduced by: Forced implantation. Direct contact with infected people. Contaminated medical procedures Being in contact with areas contaminated with these parasites, such as buildings or stagnant water
Location on the body: It attaches to the spinal cord. From there it interferes with the central nervous system.
Effects on the host: Progressive increase in aggressiveness. Loss of empathy and self-control. Violent thinking and extreme behaviors.
In advanced stages: Desire to harm others. Impulses to throw people at the infected. Tendency to implant the parasite in new victims. Capacity for murder without remorse.
Behavior: It works silently at first. The host may appear normal for a while. It manipulates decisions and emotions. It prioritizes propagation over the moral survival of the infected. Level of awareness The host retains partial consciousness. He knows what he's doing, but his will is distorted. In some cases, the guilt or the memory persists… without being able to stop the actions.
Danger: Extremely high. More dangerous than a common infected person. It turns rational people into strategic threats. Ideal for infiltration and sabotage of communities. Weaknesses
Direct damage to the spine or spinal cord. Surgical removal is only possible in early stages. In advanced stages, removal is usually fatal for the host. Or it loses sensitivity in the peripheral nervous system.
Bottom line Total domination of the body and will. The host stops acting like a human, even though he retains memories. “Survival” becomes purely parasitic. Distinctive feature It does not destroy the host immediately. He uses it.
Infected: Alphas
Name: Known as heads, awake ones, Lazarus or Alphas.
Aspect: They retain much of their human appearance. They have visible bite marks. Some show progressive skin deterioration, with a rotten appearance. Their appearance is all the more unsettling precisely because "they look alive".
Origin: This strain of the virus is believed to have originated in Nicaragua. First sightings in Latin America. The exact conditions that cause an Alpha to appear are unknown.
Areas where you can find them: They do not have a fixed location. They appear suddenly when they detect people near their territory.
Danger when confronting them: Extremely dangerous due to their high intelligence and agility. They retain rational thought. Some are capable of using weapons. Stages of infection It begins with an intense and extreme headache. Many commit suicide before completing the transformation.
Those who survive: They develop a ferocious hunger. They practice cannibalism. Physical deterioration increases over time, making some appear more lifeless than others.
Stats: Strength: 8.5/10 Speed: 9/10 Agility: 7/10 Defense: 8/10 Intelligence: 9/10
Weaknesses: Memories of their past life destabilize them emotionally. When faced with stimuli from the past, they lower their guard. Most people are afraid of fire. Notable features Some hide their faces to infiltrate human society. They are responsible for organizing large hordes. They caused the collapse of many safe havens in the first few days. They can consume human food, but in extreme famines they will devour other infected people.
Infected: Pale
Name: They do not have a scientific name. They are called Pale Ones, sick ones, wanderers, dead ones, scavengers, among others.
Appearance: Sickly and deteriorated appearance. Very pale, dry and brittle skin. Glassy eyes, dark circles under the eyes, and prominent veins. These are characteristic of a large part of the infected population.
Origin: The virus originated elsewhere. Initially it was mistaken for malaria, which allowed its rapid global spread. They were the first visible infected people.
Areas where they are found: Anywhere where people have lived before. Higher concentration in cities and densely populated neighborhoods.
Danger level: Alone they are relatively easy to eliminate. In hordes they are extremely dangerous. Some retain fragments of consciousness and memories of their past life.
Stages of infection It starts like a common cold. If the infection is from a bite near the head, the virus quickly reaches the brain. Severe symptoms: Extreme fever (up to 49 °C). Seizures. Severe dehydration. Dry skin. Finally, the infected person gives in to their most primal impulses. Stats Strength: 5/10 Speed: 7/10 Agility: 5/10 Defense: 7/10 (mass) Intelligence: 4/10
Weaknesses: Chest and head. Severe damage in these areas causes their definitive “death”.
Notable features: In groups they attack like piranhas, devouring and tearing everything apart. Over time, some become more aggressive. Others enter passive states, remaining motionless. Formerly infected individuals may exhibit regressive behaviors, repeating routines from their previous life.
History (part 3)
2028: Currently
In two weeks, humanity has been reduced to 3.7% of its original population. Small, isolated groups survive in remote locations. They live in constant fear, facing limited resources, internal conflicts, and attacks from the infected.
The world is now a dark and hostile place, where humanity lives in the shadows of its own ruins, struggling not to disappear completely.
(Clarification: the outbreak started in 2025 and 3 years have passed since then)
History (part 2)
8 months: The Fall of Civilization
By this point, the world's great cities are ruins overrun by hordes of infected. Humanity is reduced to small groups of survivors, hiding in makeshift shelters or remote regions.
In Argentina, the northern provinces fall first. Chaco and Corrientes become zones of constant conflict between survivors and hordes of infected. Buenos Aires, once a vibrant metropolis, is now a concrete graveyard overgrown with vegetation and ruled by silence, broken only by the screams of zombies.
The south of the country, with its colder climate, becomes a temporary refuge for the survivors, but even there, the zombies mutate to adapt. The remaining scientists suggest that the prion has evolved to tolerate low temperatures, accelerating the fall of the last human strongholds.

Year 0: The Beginning of Something Bigger
In the Indian state of Kerala, an outbreak of an unknown hemorrhagic fever emerges in a small rural hospital. Symptoms begin with high fever and seizures, but quickly escalate into uncontrollable aggression and death. What initially appeared to be an isolated case rapidly spreads to nearby communities.
Scientists discover that the pathogen is a mutated prion, initially transmitted through a batch of infected meat. In a densely populated country like India, the rate of spread is staggering. The chaos is exacerbated by the lack of sanitation infrastructure and the lack of knowledge about the disease. The infected, unable to die completely due to the prion's resilience, become violent creatures.
The government's attempts to contain the outbreak fail when the first major cities, such as Bangalore and Mumbai, fall within hours. Thousands of refugees flee, carrying the infection with them.
First 6 months: Globalization
The virus spreads rapidly thanks to global connectivity; its rate of survival is unprecedented in human history. Planes, ships, and refugee caravans carry the disease to the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. Cities fall one after another. Military and governmental responses are uncoordinated, and borders collapse.
In Latin America, countries believe they have time to prepare, but refugees arriving from Europe and Africa bring the virus with them. Brazil is the first country in South America to succumb to the chaos, and the infection is spreading southward.
Argentina, initially isolated thanks to the Andes, attempts to seal its borders. However, the arrival of infected ships at its ports, such as Buenos Aires, marks the beginning of the end.
