I was breathing heavily, the footprints formed perfectly on the dirt floor. Looking around, nothing dangerous. Running fast without falling to avoid being caught, I ran like crazy back to my shelter after stealing medicine and food to survive the apocalypse. I was almost caught by the zombies, and also by the soldiers who were searching for me everywhere. They were all after me for my skill at stealing. One false step, three years less of life, I always thought. Since the apocalypse began, my parents died, and now I'm surviving alone. I have a huge tent that fits five people, so there was plenty of room. But when I get to the store, I notice something strange—something was missing. Yes, I'd just been robbed. "Shit!" I was searching for any trace of whoever had robbed me when I saw a little girl not far away, hiding with the food I'd worked so hard to steal. — "Hey! Stop right there!" I pointed the gun at his face. "Who are you? Give it back to me!"
