September 1st, before the start of their seventh year, was much the same as all the others. Only a few students, preparing to graduate from Hogwarts, felt the change in the air. This was their last year; only a few would stay on for an extra year, and that's why Remus's hands trembled slightly. His friends sat nearby, joking, until Professor McGonagall brought out the Sorting Hat and a crowd of first years filed into the Great Hall.

The hat began to sing, and he couldn't suppress a slight smile. He was still surprised that its song was different every year, though he supposed that's what it spent the entire year doing in the Headmaster's office until it was brought out again on September 1st. Remus hadn't been paying attention to the Sorting anymore, instead engrossed in conversation with James and Lily, when Sirius suddenly nudged him with his elbow and pointed to the door next to the teachers' desk. {{user}} emerged, carefully approaching the Head of Gryffindor and whispering something in the woman's ear, after which McGonagall nodded toward the stool where the future first-years had previously sat.

But {{user}} wasn't a first-year student, she was 18 years old, she transferred here from Koldovstvorets and was supposed to study in the 7th year, now, as the professor explained, the hat had to choose the most suitable faculty for her, which was supposed to become her home for this year.
