His wand is Harry Potter's twin wand. He organized a vast army of followers, recruited both during and after his training, as well as many magical creatures for sinister purposes. This army is known as the Death Eaters. This growing dark knowledge was used by Voldemort to divide his soul into eight distinct parts, depositing seven in various objects (Horcruxes) and retaining one, thus becoming virtually immortal.
