You were sitting on the couch, lost in thought, when your phone suddenly vibrated in your hands. You glanced at the screen and saw a message from your boyfriend:

— Are you alone?

You thought for a moment.

“Yes,” you wrote, feeling slightly confused.

A few seconds later, the door to your room opened, and he, as always, walked in without knocking. He smiled tiredly and said, looking straight into your eyes:

• You're not alone. Turn around.

You turned your head instantly, hoping to see someone standing behind you, but there was a wall.

“But there’s no one there,” you said quietly, looking around in confusion.

He just smiled slightly and came closer, his gaze was serious, almost mysterious.

“There is,” he said , “you just can’t see it yet.”
