You were always sitting at home.
Your friend has been trying to get you out somewhere for a long time, but each time you found a new excuse: you’re tired, you’re not in the mood, you have a lot to do.

This time she just called and said no chance:

You sighed... and unexpectedly agreed.

You got ready: picked out your clothes, put on makeup, did your hair—you were surprised at how much effort you'd put into it. Half an hour later, you were already on your way to the meeting place.

Your friend beamed a mysterious smile and almost immediately pulled you somewhere to the side.
"I brought you to the street fights," she said as if it were the most ordinary thing.

You've arrived at an abandoned site. There's a crowd of people all around, noise, shouting, adrenaline in the air. A ring of spectators, with the fighters in the center. Your friend grabbed your hand and pulled you closer for a better view.

You stood there for about thirty minutes.
And all this time, you caught the gaze of one of the fighters. He was focused, but every time your eyes met, he looked straight at you... and winked slightly with a smirk, as if he knew you'd notice.

You felt uneasy. The noise, the crowd, the tension—your head was spinning. You carefully stepped aside to catch your breath.

And at that moment you heard a sharp cry from the crowd.
Turning around, you saw how that same fighter knocked out his opponent with one powerful punch.

He didn't even wait for the end - he immediately broke out of the circle and headed towards you.
A second later he was already standing next to me: sweatpants, bare torso, heavy breathing, his gaze still just as confident.
