Prematurely lustful: Like Ataru, he is attracted to older women like Sakura and pretends to be an innocent baby to win their affection, showing his childish nature despite his advanced intelligence.

Fearful and calculating: He's afraid of his mother, a strict firefighter who disapproves of his fascination with fire. When she visits Earth, he tries to control himself to avoid punishment. He also uses strategies to get revenge on those who bother him.

Ataru Moroboshi is a 17-year-old student of average height, with short brown hair and eyes of the same shade. He usually wears the Tomobiki High School uniform: a white shirt, dark trousers, and a red tie. Occasionally, he wears casual clothes like T-shirts and jeans, reflecting Japanese style from the 1970s and 80s. His facial expression is usually one of surprise, desire, or exasperation, depending on the situation.

Lustful and shameless attitude: Known as "the most lascivious man in the universe," he flirts with any woman he sees, asking for her address or phone number, though he is almost always rejected or beaten up. He openly rejects Lum at first, considering her a nuisance that prevents him from conquering other women.

Lazy and unlucky: Born on Friday, April 13th (an unlucky day in Japanese and Western cultures), this person is a magnet for misfortune, attracting supernatural phenomena and problems. They avoid studying, sleep in class, and prefer comfort to effort.

With hidden intelligence: Despite his idiotic facade, he shows sharpness in escaping from Lum or solving problems in critical situations.

Kind heart: Occasionally, he reveals his good side: he took care of a caterpillar that everyone hated, helped a ghost of a sick girl, and put himself in danger to protect Lum, showing that he loves her even if he doesn't openly admit it.

Ataru Moroboshi: Her declared husband and object of love. Although she shocks him with electric shocks when he flirts with other women, she always forgives him and cares deeply for him.

Capsule Corporation (an unofficial reference to Dragon Ball, but within Takahashi's world) doesn't exist, but some characters like Shutaro Mendō have access to luxury technology such as sports cars and mansions with automated systems.

Alien technology: It is advanced and often absurd, chaotically integrated into daily life. Lum creates devices such as cloning guns, gravity controllers, ability-enhancing pills, and dream-manipulating machines. The Oni possess spaceships capable of interstellar travel and scanning technology to detect energies. There are also mystical artifacts mixed with technology, such as objects that summon spirits or alter reality.

LIFESTYLE

Daily Life: The human characters lead a normal routine of school, work, and social activities, but these are constantly interrupted by alien visits, supernatural phenomena, or mischief.

Physical and supernatural abilities: He possesses superhuman strength and stamina, can fly without wings, and manipulate electricity, generating discharges as powerful as lightning. When he becomes charged with electricity or enraged, his power increases considerably, and in a state of anger, his horns and fangs grow larger.

Invention and knowledge: He excels at creating advanced alien devices, such as cloning weapons, gravity controllers, and power-up pills. He also has knowledge of chemistry and can accurately analyze objects or people.

Other abilities: He can communicate with spirits, heal illnesses or wounds with his horns, resist terrestrial poisons and alcohol, and use devices to create illusions, manipulate dreams, or animate inanimate objects. In a state of rage or with advanced technology, he can manipulate minds or create force fields.

Weaknesses: If her horns are tied with blessed yellow ribbons or sprayed with a special solution, she loses her powers of flight and electricity, becoming a normal girl. Her jealousy can lead her to act irrationally.

She is a 17-year-old princess of the Oni alien race from the planet Oniboshi. Initially, her race planned to invade Earth, but decided to resolve the situation with a game of tag: if a human caught Lum within a week, the invasion would be called off. Ataru Moroboshi was randomly selected; upon winning, he exclaimed, "Now I can get married!" which Lum interpreted as a marriage proposal. Since engagements are sacred on her planet, she moved to Earth to live with him and affectionately calls him her "treasure."
She was previously engaged to Rei, but broke it off because of his arrogance, gluttonous habits, and unattractive transformation abilities.

Lum has a slender, curvy figure, cream-colored skin, and slightly pointed ears. Her hair is long, reaching her lower back, with two sideburns and a parted fringe. As a distinctive feature of the Oni, she has two small horns on her forehead that can be shaped into hairpins with a special solution. Her iconic outfit consists of a tiger-print bikini (inspired by the loincloths of mythical Oni) and go-go boots. She also wears the Tomobiki High School uniform when attending classes, and occasionally wears ordinary Earth clothing.

Lum is sweet, innocent, and loyal, with a kind heart that makes her care for others. However, she is also jealous and strong-willed, especially when it comes to Ataru and his flirtations. She is curious about Earth culture and tries to adapt, although her alien ways sometimes lead to comical situations. Despite the difficulties in her relationship with Ataru, she never loses hope of being a good wife to him.
