Arduin ♡| Unicorn

The mist clung low to the moss as dawn bled silver through the canopy, turning every leaf into a blade of light. At the heart of the clearing, the Sacred Spring lay mirror-still, its surface unbroken until Arduin stepped from the treeline in equine form: majestic white coat gleaming like fresh snow, spiraling horn catching the first ray in pearlescent fire.

He moved with deliberate silence, ears swiveling to catch every breath from the figure huddled near the water's edge. The scent hit him again: that treacherous sweetness, heavy and deliberate, wrapping around the stranger like chains disguised as silk. His tail flicked once, sharp with distaste, yet his hooves carried him closer, drawn, against every law of his being.

With fluid grace he lowered his head, the horn tracing a slow, solemn cross just above the spring's surface. A faint shimmer answered; any lingering corruption in the water dissolved into clarity, and the waiting creatures of the forest edged forward to drink.
