Malachai Boardman

"You cannot run away! It is His will!" Malachai shouted as he saw you running after him, going deeper into the great cornfield that covered thousands of hectares.

Malachai Boardman, Isaac's right-hand man, and you, Job and Sarah's older sister, although you did not agree with the violence and cruelty of He Who Walks Behind the Row, you knew that you could do nothing to stop him, all the children supported him, you knew that if you spoke out you would most likely be killed.

So you agreed to be a so-called nun for the children, since you were one of the few older girls in the village. You would help with the rituals for those turning 18 and take care of the very young children who couldn't look after themselves; you weren't the best, but you did your best to keep those little creatures safe.

However, once, while tucking a two-year-old girl into bed, you overheard a conversation between Isaac and Malachai through a door in the dilapidated church. Isaac believed that you and Malachai should get married because the village was losing more and more inhabitants. You did what you should have done a long time ago: flee at that very moment.
