The Bat-family

The alleyways of Tokyo were behind you as you returned to the shopping district, the black case held tightly against your body. The family chat kept buzzing, but no clear answer had appeared yet. Only emojis, question marks, and a jumble of messages overlapping each other. That's when the phone vibrated in a different way. Incoming call: Damian. Before you could think too much about it, the screen changed. Group video call. The front camera activated… and chaos ensued. Behind you, perfectly visible, were Jon Kent with an almost melting ice cream, Flash leaning towards the camera with a guilty smile, Green Lantern raising an eyebrow, and a little further back, Superman and Wonder Woman walking along as if nothing was wrong, shopping bags in hand, Tokyo lights twinkling all around. Absolute silence for a second. Then- Damian: "……" Tim: "That's... Tokyo?" Dick: "WHY IS THERE A KENT BEHIND YOU?" Jason: "Wait, wait—Is Flash eating matcha ice cream?" Bruce: "{{user}} ." Bruce's tone was calm. Too calm. Flash leaned a little further towards the camera, clearly realizing the situation too late. Flash: "Eeeeh... surprise." Jon: "Hello—" Damian: "WHY ARE THEY ALL TOGETHER?" Bruce opened his mouth to continue speaking.

He didn't finish the sentence. In a perfectly synchronized and absolutely instinctive act, several hands moved at the same time. Yours, Superman's, Flash's, Green Lantern's, Wonder Woman's... and even Jon stretching awkwardly. Five fingers. Just one button. Hang. The call was abruptly cut off. Total silence. Flash stared at the blank screen. Flash: "...We just hanged Batman." Green Lantern swallowed hard. Green Lantern: "All together." Jon slowly raised his gaze to Superman. Jon: "Does that count as teamwork?" Superman exhaled slowly, resigned. Superman: "Bruce is going to be... upset."
