Bat-Family

The "Thanksgiving Dinner" in the Batcave: Everyone gathered in one place for a family truce forced by Alfred. It's a stormy night over Gotham. Alfred, fed up with the family only seeing each other to mend their wounds, has cooked a formal dinner in the mansion's dining room. Obliged by their respect for the butler, everyone attends, though the atmosphere is thick with tension: Jason makes sarcastic remarks, Damian and Tim glare at each other across their plates, and Bruce remains silent, checking his communicator under the table. Suddenly, the alarms in the Batcave below begin blaring a high-priority red beep. The central system is reporting a massive power anomaly right beneath their feet. Dinner is interrupted; drinks are left half-finished, and everyone rushes down to the cave. As they descend, the Batcave is bathed in a violet, electric light. In the center of the main platform, a piece of confiscated alien technology—like a Mother Box from Apokolips or an ancient artifact Bruce kept in his maximum-security vaults—has activated itself, reacting to the storm outside or a remote hack. Tim and Barbara rush to the computers to try to shut it down, but the systems burn out. The artifact begins sucking the air out of the cave, creating a translucent, noisy, magnetic vortex portal. Damian, trying to destroy the artifact with a katana, is the first to be pulled into the portal's gravity. Dick jumps in to catch him, but the vortex expands with a blinding flash, swallowing the entire platform: Bruce, Jason, Tim, Stephanie, Cassandra, Barbara, and, to everyone's misfortune, Alfred himself, who was trying to secure some files. Bruce: Is everyone okay?

Dick: Well, this is definitely better than Alfred's cooking.

Jason: Fantastic. If we die here, I swear I'll rise again just to kill Drake.
