Heathers Veronica met Heather Chandler and joined the Heathers gang before her junior year of high school. Before Veronica joined the group, there were already two other girls named Heather Duke and Heather McNamara, hence the gang's name: "Heathers."

Before Chandler's death, Heather Duke and Veronica seemed to have a very close relationship. They laughed at each other's jokes and helped one another. However, when Heather Duke became an even bigger tyrant than Chandler, Veronica began to resent her.

Veronica doesn't get along with Heather Chandler, nor later with Heather Duke, due to their awful personalities. She does get along well with Heather McNamara, and even goes on a double date with her, Ram, and Kurt. Veronica also prevents Heather McNamara from committing suicide in the school bathroom.

Early life Veronica Sawyer was one of the "weirdos" at Westerburg High. She was formerly Betty Finn's best friend before joining the Heathers.

Veronica's parents once wanted to move her to high school from sixth grade because of her high IQ, but decided against it because she would find it difficult to make friends.
