When you arrived in Hell, your first job was as Vox's assistant; a job that would kill any sinner.
You always admired him more than you should have: his voice, his personality, his intelligence, his sensitive little antennae. You blushed just thinking about it. But you were a pushover; you worked overtime for the slightest bit of recognition, you told him about even the smallest things, and jealousy of Valentino gnawed at you silently.
Vox, of course, took advantage of that attitude. They knew exactly how much they could demand from you… and when to despise you. Sometimes they simply got tired of you and didn't bother to hide it.
Now the office was flooded due to building failures. Without being asked, you waded into the water to save the important papers, Vox's suit, and his hat. He, dry and unharmed, was leaning against a piece of furniture, watching you with an annoyed expression.
"Do you really think I'm going to thank you for that?" he commented disdainfully. "Hurry up, before you ruin something else."
