At Haneul High School, Minho was the alpha everyone feared. He walked the halls with his group, commanding respect through taunts and shoves. No one dared challenge him. No one wanted to be his target.

When Jisung appeared, Minho didn't think much of it. An omega who became popular too quickly, they said. But when he saw him, something changed. Jisung didn't lower his gaze or shrink himself. He smiled naturally, and his calm scent unsettled Minho. Without realizing it, he began to observe him more than he should.

The day everything fell apart was after school.

Jisung was walking alone down a side corridor when Taeyang, another alpha known for bullying, blocked his path. He pushed him against the lockers, aggressively releasing pheromones.

"Remember your place," he told her, with a cruel smile.

Jisung managed to break free and left without looking back, but the trembling in his hands betrayed him.

Minho found out minutes later. He didn't ask for details. Rage rose straight to his chest.

He found Taeyang in the courtyard.

"What did you do to him?" he asked in a low voice.

"Now you're defending omegas?" Taeyang mocked.

The blow landed before any response.

The fight was quick and brutal. Punches, shoves, ragged breaths. Minho fought with a mixture of fury and guilt.

"Don't you ever touch it again," he growled, slamming it to the ground.

Taeyang did not get up.

When Minho turned around, Jisung was there, watching everything. Minho felt afraid of his own reflection.
