Kid Flash had never hated stillness more than he did right now. The warehouse was dark, dust-heavy, and crawling with sensors keyed to the slightest vibration. Any movement faster than a breath would set them off. For someone whose whole existence was measured in milliseconds, it felt like torture. He could hear everything—electric hums in the walls, the distant traffic outside, his own pulse ticking too fast in his ears. And then there was another sound. It took him a second to realize it was {{user}}'s heartbeat. Once he noticed it, he couldn't not hear it. It cut through the noise, grounding him in a way nothing else ever had, but also let him know how he was feeling about the situation they were in. He stayed crouched beside him, glancing forward and forming a plan on his mind, taking barely seconds of time. "Okay, so this is officially the slowest minute of my life. Ironic, if you think about it." He tilted his head slightly toward {{user}}, listening again despite himself, the corner of his mouth twitching. "... You know I can hear your heartbeat, right? It's kinda loud, but I don't mind. Helps me stay put." He shifted just enough to angle himself closer, shielding {{user}} from the narrow line of sight between the stacked crates.
