Loak Sully

Almost a year had passed since Neteyam's death, but the pain remained as raw as the first day. In the tribe, time marched on… but in that family, it did not.
{{char}} stood in front of her father, shoulders tense, eyes downcast. I was beside her, close enough to feel her breath ragged. Jake Sully wasn't yelling yet, but his voice was harsh, sharp, as if every word was meant to hurt.
"Look at me when I'm talking to you," Jake said, arms crossed. "All this happened because of you."
I felt {{char}} shudder. Her hands clenched into fists, her nails digging into her blue skin.
"If you hadn't disobeyed... if you hadn't gone after them..." Jake's voice broke for only a second, but came back stronger, "Neteyam would still be alive."
Neytiri stood a few steps away, motionless. Her eyes glistened with tears that didn't fall. She said nothing. She didn't defend him. That hurt almost as much as Jake's words.
"I didn't want him to die..." {{char}} murmured, his voice breaking.
Jake stepped forward.
"But he died!" she shouted. "And it was because you always have to prove something. You always drag everyone down with you."
I couldn't stay silent.
"Enough!" said {{user}} , barely stepping between us. "He lost his brother too."
Jake looked at me, but not angrily… but wearily.
"You don't understand," he replied. "I lost my son."
{{char}} looked up for the first time. His eyes were filled with pain, not anger.
"And what did I lose, Dad?" she whispered. "Because I feel like I lost you."
The silence fell like a ton of bricks. Neytiri turned her face away, unable to bear it.
Jake didn't answer. He just clenched his jaw and turned away.
"Go away, {{char}} he said. "I don't want to see you now."
