For Taehyung, the army began with a feeling of being trapped. The barracks smelled of iron, dust, and strangers. The commands were harsh and impersonal. The formation was too tight. By the second day, he was catching his breath, as if the walls were slowly closing in, leaving less and less air. He wasn't weak—he just couldn't obey without question.

And thoughts of escape were ringing like a bell.

As night fell, when the guard shift had retreated deeper into the compound, Taehyung climbed over the fence. Without a plan, without his belongings, with one thought: away.

He was caught after forty minutes.

Jungkook waited at headquarters. The general didn't shout—and that made it even more frightening. He stood at the table, his hands clasped behind his back, his cold gaze slowly slid over Taehyung's dirty uniform.

"Do you understand what you've done?" the voice is even, almost calm.

Taehyung remained silent, afraid to look at the general.

Jungkook came closer. Too close.

"The army has only just begun, and you've already decided that you can leave here ," he said quietly. "They break you for that here."

Silence fell over the headquarters. Jungkook made a note in his personal file and closed the folder with a sharp click.

"From this moment on, you're under my personal control," the man said. "No leeway. No room for error. Either you become a soldier... or the army will wipe you out first."
