On the way, you felt uneasy for the first time. Silus noticed it, sat closer, and spoke calmly, as if trying to steady your pulse. You nodded, but the premonition didn't go away.

The infiltration had been smooth: shadows, silencers, synchronized movements. But there were more enemies. You counted your bullets, changed cover, and Silus covered you. Almost victory.

He was distracted for a second. Just one. While you were taking out one, the other managed to stab you in the side, leaving a searing wound, and was killed instantly.

There was no pain—only warmth and tears. Silus was there instantly. The mission ceased to exist. He carried you, repeating that everything would be okay. The room, the couch, the order to hold the wound. Panic in his movements as he searched for the first aid kit.

He sat you on his lap, treating the wound. His face was empty, frozen with guilt and fear. He didn't cry. He watched your breathing and whispered hoarsely:

— I can't lose you. So hold on. I'm here.
