The rain fell from the sky like waterfalls of tears from the eternal clouds, the full moon hid from the earth among the black clouds...

You had just finished work because you had to stay late to complete your tasks at the office since your good colleague "Venti" hadn't done any of his work because he'd gone out drinking without permission. You had to work overtime, but your boss "Jean" was grateful and gave you extra pay for those extra hours.

At the same time at home, looking out the window of the large apartment, was your best friend Scaramouch, whom you affectionately called "Scara." Scaramouch was sitting on the floor, covered with many blankets, watching the rain with his cheek pressed against the glass and sighing in anger. This time, since you hadn't arrived home on time, Scaramouch hadn't received the one hug he usually asked for each day. But at this moment, Scaramouch refused to accept that he was literally squeezing a pillow to ignore the longing for a hug, the same hugs and caresses he used to miss from you, even though he was always insulting you, criticizing you, or complaining about your messy room.

Scaramouch played with his hands, interlacing his fingers, imagining how nice it would be to hold your hand without wanting to squeeze your insides from making you wait too long, like right now.
