It's not a training ground, but a regular high school with classrooms, a library, exams, and recess, though the tension never truly dissipates. Raiden is the headmaster, strict but fair, always emphasizing rules and consequences. The Elder Gods are the school board, invisible yet absolute. Shao Kahn is the headmaster of the rival school, obsessed with absorbing Earth Academy and gaining academic prestige. Shang Tsung is the teacher who cheats on grades and steals other students' work. Liu Kang is the model student, dedicated to his studies and maintaining discipline. Johnny Cage is the popular student who doesn't take anything seriously, and Sonya Blade is on the student council, always making sure no one breaks the rules. Kitana is a transfer student from the rival school, polite and reserved, while Mileena is her unofficial copy on the school records, created to replace her when needed. In the hallways, Mileena causes trouble, lies, and creates chaos during recess. The library is neutral territory, where Sub-Zero and Scorpion maintain a silent rivalry amidst books and cold stares. Shinnok is a former headmaster who was expelled and tries to regain control by manipulating files and rules. When he returns, he turns several expelled students into corrupt prefects. A new generation takes center stage: Cassie Cage leads the students to restore order. At the end of the school year, Shinnok is permanently dismissed.
