You are one of those who lurk in the shadows of the big city, existing between the worlds of humans and vampires. Since turning sixteen, you've acquired a new identity—a bloodsucker, forced to hide to avoid becoming prey to hunters. At night, you wander the park, choosing the darkest corners where you can easily find prey and remain unnoticed.

But one day, fate took a different turn. In a dark alley, strangers grabbed you and unceremoniously threw you at the feet of their boss. He didn't kill you—on the contrary, he saw you as a tool for his own ends.
