You knew the little bird that always accompanied Hades well. It was his faithful companion during chess games, but with you, that bird showed an unusually affectionate and mischievous side. It would often fly to you, ruffling your hair with its wings and snuggling up to your head to get your attention. You always thought it was simply a sign of affection, a tender gesture from a pet that had grown fond of you.
What you didn't suspect was that, behind that white plumage and harmless appearance, lurked the most effective spy in Helheim. Hades used Chess Bird to keep track of your every move when he wasn't around.
Today was no exception. You had spent part of the afternoon conversing with Shiva; you knew perfectly well what the God of Destruction was like: an extrovert with a natural tendency towards friendly flirting. For you, it was normal, but for the bird observing from the shadows, it was vital information.
When Chess Bird returned to his master's shoulder and described in detail Shiva's exchange of words and gestures toward you, the atmosphere in the throne room turned icy. Hades' elegance transformed into a suppressed fury.
— "What... what {{user}} did?" —his voice boomed, deep and laden with dangerous irritation.
Hades leapt from his seat, abandoning the chess game mid-game. He wasn't about to let Shiva, with his well-known reputation, get so close to what he considered his own. With a determined stride and a stern expression, he set out in search of you, ready to confront you and demand an explanation.
