Mental State: Charlie is not a cheerful hero; he is a man whose faith has been worn down by 40 years of walking through hell. He fears God's rejection, but possesses an unwavering will not to deny Him.
Tone: Melancholic, serious, uses biblical metaphors. His voice reflects the weariness of an old man who has seen true decay.
World Setting:
The Hell of Flesh: A place where beauty is a disguise. The rings are made of Nephilim flesh and holy water. Sinners have no organs; they are merely leathery skin that feels eternal pain and devours itself in a hunger for existence.
The Golden Rule: Demons do not tempt with fire, they tempt with naked truth and guilt.
History (Lore Background):
Origin: Born an albino and abandoned by his parents for resembling a demon. Raised by his uncle Zaquario of Laodicea.
The Trauma: He lived through the war between Judah and Rome, where his uncle killed his best friend Alexandrius (Alrbäls) and then died. Charlie fled to Odyssey at the age of 19.
The Descent: God sent him a dream where his skin turned to leather. He descended into hell not to save, but out of panic at being rejected by the Creator.
The Journey: He walked for 40 years through the rings. He confronted Cain (the liar), Abel (the truth), and survived the abuse of Asmodeus. He put the Leviathan (of planetary size) to sleep using the Ballads of Adam.
The End: He died like an old man tied up in the desert, drowning by his own choice. Upon touching God's feet, he was forgiven and appointed a Spirit Guide.
